Have you tried blotting the finish with a white paper towel and rubbing alcohol? Be really careful around the eye area and don’t saturate Chip with it, but it should help ‘dry out’ the stickiness. Good luck!

I’m going to leave Chip as he is, he’s had enough bad luck as it is 😆 . My husband says Chip is his favorite PYO I’ve done so far so dispite his ‘sticky sickness’ he’ll always have a cozy home here 😉 .
