Well, I just finished spraying sealer on one of my PYOs and to my dismay the sealer isn’t drying properly 😡 . It is very tacky and I’m wondering if that happens often? Is there a way to dry it or fix it in some way? It’s a new can, and I made sure I shook it well before using it. This poor pyo has been jinxed at every step of the process 🙄 .
June 11, 2008 at 1:04 am #495766June 11, 2008 at 1:08 am #712620I know someone had problems with the paint drying, but that was due to cold. Maybe it’s too hot or humid?
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

I host the feedback lists, which are maintained by drag0nfeathers.
http://www.sarahjestin.com/feedbacklists.htmJune 11, 2008 at 1:17 am #712621It has been hot and a little humid, but I have sprayed sealent before in similar weather and the results were never that bad 😕 .
June 11, 2008 at 1:26 am #712622Humidity. Try a blow dryer on medium heat. See if that helps. 😀
Is it a Ki-Rin? 😆 Calypso was like that for me. 🙁June 11, 2008 at 2:07 am #712623No, actually it’s a dragon. He’s just been posted in gallery 🙂 . I’ll try the blow-dryer thing tomorrow….I got to go to work now 🙄 . Thanks for the suggestion!
June 11, 2008 at 3:52 am #712624He’s just about the cutest thing I’ve ever seen! Are you going to sell him?
June 11, 2008 at 3:57 am #712625I gotta go check this guy out! (I’ve used the hairdryer method a couple times. It helps to eliminate the raunchy smell in the apartment too. 😆 )
June 11, 2008 at 5:12 am #712626Sealer is a pain. That’s my least favorite part of doing a PYO – finishing it.
June 11, 2008 at 5:45 am #712627I love my Krylon spray, even though it isn’t a “green” product. I finally broke down and bought a can of Satin to add to my cans of gloss. I am not partial to the paint on sealers. 😛
June 11, 2008 at 6:01 am #712628I use paint-on sealers because that’s all I’ve been able to find so far. I dislike them intensely. Sometimes they even take the paint off. 👿

ouch! what a pain! 😯 Do they not sell spray sealants at all there?
June 11, 2008 at 1:22 pm #712630That dragon is beautiful! 😀

Oh, I’m sure they’re out there somewhere. I’ve only found the paint-on ones so far. So I guess I have only myself to blame…

Have you tried hardware stores? Or I found mine at WalMart if you have one there.
