Good point travistie! Congrats on your win…I’m going to have to look up the auction now and see your new pretty. ๐
April 7, 2010 at 7:46 pm #754974She`s so pretty purpleturtle! ๐ I picked up my red fire mother dragon today!
April 8, 2010 at 5:21 pm #754975I just got Lokie’s Emerald Coiled Mother Dragon! She’s beautiful. Now my Emerald Coiled/Curly family is complete. Thanks, Lokie!

I also managed to win the liver chestnut unicorn the other night… so she’ll be on her way soon too. I should be saving money for my upcoming vacation, but I’ve really been wanting a test paint uni. Finally, I was able to get one. Yay!
lamorte, you can’t get rid of your husband cause he builds the shelves for you to display all your Windstones! ๐
Depends on the age of the son…Every now and again when they are teenagers, you sure do wish you could give them away! XD Only when they are argumentative and bull headed. ๐April 11, 2010 at 3:49 am #754977Since Photobucket has decided to make things difficult for computer illiterati like me, I can’t post photos at the moment. I’ve had some weird Windstone luck lately though, making up for that little rock dragon I guess. ๐ First my mother (lives with me) has been wanting some more Windstones for herself, she’s got the Oriental dragons, kirins and a couple unicorns, but admires my Western dragons. She found a cheap brown male on eBay, and I won him for her for $31- came to just over $40 with shipping. Seller didn’t know Windstones and could have packed it a little better, but it arrived safely and is in very good condition actually.
Then I went to a huge flea market a couple hours away, where what do I see but a peacock lap dragon! She was in really nice shape to be in a place like that, just a clearcoat rub on her nondisplay side and a tiny chip on the inside of her upper eyelid on the display side. Someone had told the guy that Windstones were extremely valuable, so he had $200 on her. I went and got a printout of the ravnheart database page on nonmint peacock laps, and he thanked me for my honesty and sold it to me for $80. Not a giveaway price, but fair to both of us. (he told me he paid $25 apiece for them at a yard sale) Said he had another Windstone dragon in his barn somewhere, now if I can make it back to that flea market with some money! Gave the lap to my mother in the meanwhile.
Finally, I was at a thrift/consignment shop a few towns away a couple days ago, and found a bad cat candlelamp in great shape. Don’t collect them, but it was fairly cheap so I borrowed the money and got it to sell (hopefully).
I’ll post pics as soon as I figure out Photobucket and have the time, or move my photos to another site.April 11, 2010 at 12:28 pm #754978What great luck, pipsxlch! ๐ That’s neat the Ravenheart database got you a fair price on the lap!

The lap (gave her to my mom, along with the young I found last year):
If things get any tighter, I may have to sell the dragons- especially if the bad cat doesn’t sell. Hope I don’t have to dig my others out of storage… ๐

Thanks! ๐
They emailed me and said that they were out of the Red Fire Mother after I already checked out, but they do have the Red Fire Scratching in stock… So I think I’m going to splurge a little and get him.
We’ll see what happens next.April 15, 2010 at 2:18 pm #754987Where did you order it from? The scratcher is such a stunning sculpt! He also seems to be harder to find in red fire than the mother from what I`ve observed… ๐
