I just purchased a keeper PYO, my first PYO in almost a year. She should be fun to paint! I also bought a small emerald wizard and a male unicorn from Leigha. Should have known this would happen. I went from October to the end of January without a Windstone purchase, and then the Siamese crouching cat candle lamps came out. Since then I’ve bought four new pieces in less than three weeks! Seems either I’m stone cold Windstone sober, or I’m full-blown addicted to the things 😈 There is no middle ground!
congrats on your keeper pyo! i was able to snag one too.. can’t wait to get started on it! i’m in the middle of a windstone craze myself. just added seven in the past two weeks 😮

So, months later my brain is cooperating, and I’ll post the pics I took of my lurvly dragon. (Including some shots of his “flaws”)
The first few pics are meant simply to capture him from all sides. I so love irridescence!
This one shows the paint rubs and chipped tips of his horns and crest.
Paint rubs on wings.
Face shot!

February 12, 2010 at 4:14 pm #754859Hey guys! Last summer I bought my first windstones, I had always wanted one but never could really afford them. So I was at my mom’s place and she had just moved so we were wandering about to garage sales looking for furniture. We go to this one place that looks like mostly toys, and the lady selling had a whole bunch of windstones! I ended up buying the dragons she had, 4 of them, for $25. (canadian) Given, they have breaks and issues, but still! The OW’s front feet are really broken, the peacock male’s non display wing has a nasty chip, and the small coiled has a tiny chip on its eyelid. The oriental doesn’t have any issues as far as I can see.
Anyways, just thought I’d share, it was SUCH a cool find, I was dying with excitment. My mom thought I was crazy for buying random chipped up dragon statues, once I explained more she was excited too! 🙂
here’s a photo, its not super amazing but you can see them 😀

OMG!!! Firefly!!! I miss my MLP’s… 😳February 12, 2010 at 8:35 pm #754865Ohh I got a note from kalandra, hopefully that can work out 🙂
niagara falls is a really awesome area for garage sales. I have found vintage my little ponies several times at vallue village and goodwill, and we’ve gotten nice furniture and other awesome stuff for cheap. Half the population of niagara falls is dumpster divers who resell stuff, or buy and sell stuff on kijiji to make money. Its just a weird little area, great for collecting though!
February 12, 2010 at 8:55 pm #754866AnonymousYou gals are really lucky to find such good deals! Congrats!
Everytime I walk in a goodwill, or thrift store…. or odd shop… Even a garage sale… I think Hmmmmmmm Will I find a windstone… So far not yet! 🙄 😆February 13, 2010 at 1:11 am #754867My son got a Small Circle of Cats a couple summers ago for $3.00 at a garage sale. Half the ear tips were chipped off, but I had begun repairs before we moved back here, and it is one thing I remember where I put it! 😆
