not really….those pictures work with just about everything….
you know what I’m talking about
January 7, 2007 at 6:26 pm #524416See now that’s weird – I totally think silver would look better with soft lavendar eyes than with dark purple eyes. Hmmm…Man, now I want to go back to the factory, grab one of the silver OWs and do some eye swapping to see if I’m just crazy!!
(LOL it seemed like nothing there had eyes glued in yet…but they all had eyes sitting in their sockets…whenever you picked something up to look at it, eyes all over the ground.)"He that breaks a thing to find out what it is has left the path of wisdom."

I could see that…..the eyes pop out and someone goes scrambling on the ground to find them

I’ve started to paint it like a sea shell, and so far I HATE IT!!! But that really doesn’t mean anything, as I always hate these things in the begining…the look really ugly until their antiqued with the right color or until the whole thing is done…I wonder though if I should just start over and do an arrowana dragon… Maybe I should post a pic and see if you guys hate it as much as I do…

-J R R TolkienJanuary 9, 2007 at 7:23 pm #524421Hahaha! Poor Arlla! I will try to be honest if you do post a pic. It is pretty much impossible to critique anyones work negatively. 😆
January 9, 2007 at 7:27 pm #524422*clutches chest* Must have lavender eyes!!!
I would do mine, if I had one with light lavender eyes, in light lavender for the body and darker lavender around the eyes and as shading on the body- think White dragons- only in purple!!
January 9, 2007 at 8:28 pm #524423Cheryl’s idea sounds great. Of course, she’s an expert in purples…
January 10, 2007 at 12:27 am #524424Not to mention I’m about DYING for a purple dragon with purple eyes!! And you can mix pearl white with purple for the white dragon pearly effect!!
January 10, 2007 at 7:49 pm #524425Hmmm..but then there would be nothing BUT purple – wouldn’t that be purple overload? The lavendar eyes wouldn’t stand out at all if they were surrounded by purple (just look at the ruby dragons) plus, this lavendar would be completely washed out unless the purple surrounding it was just as dull…you know what I mean?
I know, Cheryl – the lavendar eyes REALLY need to happen on regular pieces!! AND lots of PYOs!! She says they’re not archival, and they can’t get them quite right, and the color isn’t good enough…I don’t care! I’ll take em’ just as they are!
I wish I had LOADS so that I wasn’t so terrified of not getting this one just right…
I have to trundle off right now, but I’ll post pictures of what I’ve done to it tonight – I’m almost positive I’m going to paint over it, though…

-J R R TolkienJanuary 10, 2007 at 7:56 pm #524426…yes, if I had a purple eyed Windstone- I’d be giddy with excitement!
Some day SOME DAY they will come out with lavender eyed PYOs and they will sell me one an dI will perfect painting to get it to be JUST LIKE the whites…only in purple. THAT’S the master plan!
January 10, 2007 at 11:31 pm #524427EEEEEEE Mushu!! ^_^ Melody needs to come out with a little PYO oriental dragon so I can paint one like Mushu!!
Okay, here’s my poor lavendar eyed dragon as she sits after one paint session. Even the bits that are colored are only partially done, so it WOULD look better once I finished it…but I hate it already. Do you hate it?
