Well, I just picked up that package and…
Nope, ’twas the phoenix I ordered from PC. So I’m 🙂 about getting that gorgeous piece, but 🙁 that it wasn’t my swap.
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

http://www.sarahjestin.com/feedbacklists.htmSeptember 18, 2009 at 7:51 pm #782135So, I went to pick up my mail (we’re in the ‘burbs, so we don’t have a mailbox at our house) and was disappointed that no package was waiting for me there. As I get back home (this is a 5 minute walk, there and back), there’s a guy dropping a box. It was my swap (after 2 false alarms) and
SHRIEK!
Melody painted for me!
Now that said… Warp10’s in San Francisco and took both our cameras with him. I can only post pics tomorrow, late afternoon, unless Melody can post in the meantime – but I think she said she was having problems.
He’s a gorgeous black keeper with grey and white accents. I just found the stone he’s holding. The finish is satin, which I adore, and I’m wondering… did you pick orange eyes because I’ve been squeaking for them on other sculpts?
Either way, thank you so much!

http://www.sarahjestin.com/feedbacklists.htmSeptember 18, 2009 at 8:04 pm #782136Oh, I came home today to see a package sitting at my front door. I just opened the package now…. OMG! Leah, I open the envelope to see this beautiful painting. As I’m awing over the painting, I open the box… I love it! The kirin is gorgeous. Oh the detail! I promise I’ll get pictures as soon as I can. (I also enjoyed your bored doodling on the box. 😀 😀 😀

Thanks lol I was so worried it’d be too…girly? I dunno, I was worried you wouldn’t like it =s I tried to stick with your colors…and deviated a little bit on accident (didn’t realize mixing my metallic pearl white with my metallic plum would give me a pinkish pearl instead of a lavander pearl >.< and it dried pinker than it looked wet)
Want me to post the picture I have? I didn’t take a picture of the painting =
September 18, 2009 at 8:52 pm #782139Oh she did turn out a little girly but, that’s okay. I still love her.
