I saw this on someone’s gallery on Facebook.

*nuts…the picture cuts off at the head…still, you can see the markings*

*Edit–apparently only the preview cuts off the head.

OH my goodness! It looks like he’s covered in snowflakes! O.O

He’s a knock-out, that’s for sure. But I would imagine it would be very difficult to paint all those little snowflake dapples. Would make for an awesome eBay piece, though.

Dapple anything would look awesome! But it would take forever to do them, even with an airbrush. (and to be honest, I’ve never seen spectacular dapples done with an airbrush)

It’d also be cool to see a draft horse sculpture…

That is without a doubt the most stunning dappled gray I have EVER laid eyes on. @.@

He’s INSANE. Can’t get over how strong the dappling is. It reminds me of the effect you get when you sprinkle salt on wet watercolor. Gorgeoussssss thanks for posting!!

That dappling is to die for! Thanks for sharing the photo. 🙂

That kind of pattern is worthy of an Ebay male unicorn, grand unicorn or male pegasus. I think it would be stunning on one of the upright sculpts. Not sure what to CALL that pattern/color though, since it seems to be two or three different things.

Oh, I definitely don’t think it would be suitable for a production or even limited production. Definitely an ebay piece. But it’s just…wow! I’ve never considered even thinking of seriously bidding on a hoofer before, but I would for this!

Good question. I checked the photo again, and apparently his name is Austin. Here’s his website:
