      LOL!

Yes, I’ve had some of those. When an 8-hour shift feels like 16 hours!

I feel so awful for anyone who gets migraines.

        Except this one time….

My very best girlfriend brought down her boyfriend for 4th of July once. I never liked having him as a guest. He was rude. Rude things he did at my home on this particular 4th:

        – He became morally offended that there was cat hair on the cat’s sleeping mat in the corner (can’t make this up), wouldn’t stop pestering me about cleaning it until I finally did just to shut him up.

        – Wouldn’t go outside because there “were too many ***holes out there”

        – Complained about the brand of beer we bought

        – Wouldn’t eat a hamburger because he only likes hot dogs. I knew this, and when shopping for the party purchased a pack of hot dogs just for him. He didn’t like the hot dogs I bought. He only eats TURKEY dogs. Made his girlfriend WALK TO THE STORE (forget driving, no parking) ON THE 4TH OF JULY just for turkey dogs. He wouldn’t eat what she brought back. Why? She brought back a pack of turkey sausages. For grilling. “I don’t eat sausage.” After some disagreement she had to walk BACK to the store. Brought back a pack of turkey dogs by the same brand. The only difference? Wasn’t size. Wasn’t appearance. Ingredients were the same and listed in the same order. These just said “turkey dogs” instead of “turkey sausage.” That’s it.

        – Later he gets a migraine. It’s 4th of July. It’s loud. I find this guy insufferable but I don’t want him to suffer. Offered that he should lie down in the back bedroom, because it’s nice and dim and quiet there. He wouldn’t get off the couch in the noisy living room and wouldn’t stop complaining about his head. The kicker? He had migraine medicine in his car. HE WOULDN’T LET HIS GIRLFRIEND WALK TO THEIR CAR AND GET IT FOR HIM. After 30 minutes of her trying to convince him to take his damn medicine, and watching this whole stupid scene, I finally grabbed her and we went and enjoyed ourselves outside and left him to be miserable.

        No words.

What made me maddest was watching her try so hard to please this man-child. Had to really flex my acting skills when she told me she broke up with him.

XD Unnecessarily long anecdotes kill boredom right?

Sounds like he deserved every minute of pain/discomfort that he got!

Maybe 4th of July brings out those kind of people. My Mom’s boyfriend’s friend rolled up to my backyard 4th of July party uninvited on his bicycle one year. He proceeded to berate all the guest for having drove to my party (he didn’t believe in polluting the environment with vehicles at the time). He ate all our chips while telling us how much much better “homemade” potato chips were than these awful boughten kind and complained about my choice in beer while continuing to help empty the cooler of it.

This incident was only topped by his actions at my Mom’s boyfriend’s 50th birthday celebration. We had rented out a party room in the back of a restaurant to celebrate with 20 or so of the birthday boy’s closest friends. His idiot friend was supposed to help plan the celebration, but never participated, so we just ended up planning it ourselves, thinking that we would just foot the bill on our own and probably avoid some pretty wack-a-doodle ideas anyway.

So idiot friend shows up late, complains about the catering, then proceeds to go around to each of the guests and ask if they would help “kick in” on the bill. I could have died, because My Mom had invited these people as our guests and he was trying to take up a collection and act like he’d been a part of the whole process. I tried to go back around behind his back and give people back the money the idiot had collected, but some guests had already left by that time, probably offended by having been asked for money!
