Yeah, that’s why I’ve waited…need something I can live with.
December 22, 2007 at 1:22 am #649369Cool! I have thirteen tattoos (so far) and plan on getting more. I got my first one on my 16th birthday (I’m 20 now). ^__^ I have a big asian dragon on my right arm that really needs to be fixed.. gah.
December 22, 2007 at 1:25 am #649370how much do tattoo’s cost on average. How many Windstone’s could you have bought with that money??
December 22, 2007 at 1:31 am #649371Depends how big/detailed they are and how many colors are used. I think my cheapest one was $50 (about 1-2″ big), most expensive was my huge asian dragon, at about… $7-800? (not counting tips) Can’t remember. It takes up my whole upper arm (shoulder to elbow).
Here’s a pic of it when it was new in April ’06- http://papercut352.deviantart.com/art/dragon-tattoo-finally-finished-31320704
It’s faded a lot now and desperately needs needs touching up. They guy did kind of a crappy job on it anyway, and it’s really scarred/raised from using too much ink and digging too deep with the needle (ouch x.x). The “spiked” shading behind the dragon looks nothing like it was supposed to. 🙄December 22, 2007 at 1:39 am #649372Well the original tattoos on my husband’s back cost $600 I think. If it had been done properly the first time it would have actually cost closer to $1,200. For the arm piece I’m not sure as his mother actuall paid for it as a “congrats on getting promoted to SGT” gift, but I would say probably around $150/200.
December 22, 2007 at 1:42 am #649373I’m glad I do not want one because I could not afford it!!
Do they EVER have Western Dragons or are they always asian dragons??
I do not like the Asian DragonsDecember 22, 2007 at 1:44 am #649374PaperCut wrote:Here’s a pic of it when it was new in April ’06- http://papercut352.deviantart.com/art/dragon-tattoo-finally-finished-31320704

The “spiked” shading behind the dragon looks nothing like it was supposed to. 🙄That’s exactly what happened with my husband’s tattoo. Only thing is, if you were scarred that bad they may not be able to touch it up as much as you might like. That’s why the solid black parts of the dragon silhouettes and the yin yang look grey still. He was too scarred to go back over the areas to make them solid black. Mr. Tom supposedly used some black light reactant ink on the dragon silhouettes, but the black light blub we bought up at the store didn’t make anything light up.

I do not like the Asian DragonsThere is all sorts of tattoo flash out there, both eastern and western dragons. Also, a really good tattoo artist should be able to adapt any image that you bring to them. I’m actually considering using the sketch that came on my COA as a tattoo.
December 22, 2007 at 2:02 am #649376Really, I didn’t know they wouldn’t be able to touch it up if it was really scarred. 😕 Well hopefully they’ll be able to do something at least…
This is what it looks like now~
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/PCluvsNaraku/photos/100_6838.jpgYou can’t really see how bad it looks, but.. yeah. Plus if you look close he seems to be missing a leg. o__o;;
December 22, 2007 at 2:09 am #649377Your’s doesn’t look too bad. At least most of your colors are still fairly vibrant in that picture. I think with my husband’s Mr. Tom would have had to go deeper possibly, I’m not really sure though.

Also, some tattoo artists are actually artists… and can create original works for you to have done.
Or, you can have your favorite artist draw you what you’d like and any tattoo artist worth their salt can transfer the design onto your skin. I’ve designed tattoos for several folks before!
Here are a few:

I’ve done a few more (such as my own) but some people like to keep the art private so that no one else uses it. 🙂

Make sure it’s OK legally with Melody first!!
One of my friends has a KILLER Dragon over almost all his back but I’m remembering it more as an eastern dragon I will have to check it out again the next time I see him -
