I’m lucky if my bf is still awake when the ball drops. 😆
December 28, 2007 at 9:16 pm #650166in Iceland it is INSANE , an average icelander will spend up to 300 dollars on fireworks and around midnight the sky looks like a pretty scenary of world war two, times four,
in my mothers neigbourhood there are like these six very rich guys that will buy those “rocket tarts” as big as laundry machines , usually spend 1-2000 dollars on fireworks, I’ll take some pics if I can capture the insanity
December 28, 2007 at 9:18 pm #650167That sounds so cool, BRoS! Yes, please post pictures!
December 28, 2007 at 9:20 pm #650168to you it sounds cool, but all I hear is noise 😆

Yeah, but fireworks are illegal here in New Jersey. 🙁 People sneak them around the 4th of July, but that’s about it.
December 28, 2007 at 9:33 pm #650170that’s sad, but that means less mess, two years ago my mothers neighbour had two disastourous (spelling please) accidents, with one rocket he blew up a light post, went into his house to catch breath and one shot of alcahol or something to calm down then went out again and lit a 25 shot tart, it was flauded (???? word please for poorly manifactured) one shot in the beginning was upside down so it flipped the tart on it’s side and shot at all the neighbours spinning like crasy neighbours running in all directions one bumper flew off one car, and the grey plastic thing that goes on tires (you can get it in spinner style) and the oil thing were hurt on my dad’s car, but no neighbours were hurt (we learn to run fast on new years eve)
this guy went in and didn’t come out for the rest of the night
December 28, 2007 at 9:55 pm #650171😯 Sounds exciting! 😆

the are illegal here inside the city limits….but that doesn’t stop anyone…the freaks next door and across the street kept us all up till about 1am with them on the 4th of July…and it really made me mad because I had to be to work at 6 am….grr…
December 28, 2007 at 11:25 pm #650173allways a safety notice on new years eve
close every window
wear eye googles
children under 12 handle fireworks UNDER PARENTAL GUIDANCE or under guidance of children over 12
preferably wear wool clothing (doesn´t catch fire easily)
use stable support for fireworks not soda bottles
etc etcmostly idiot proof rules
December 29, 2007 at 1:04 am #650174We plan to shoot off a few fireworks and watch the ball drop. That’s about as exciting as it gets here. 😆

December 29, 2007 at 3:05 am #650179It’s been a few years since we’ve done anything too exciting, but this year I think I’m going over to a friend of the boyfriend’s place, so that ought to be fun. Usually we either go to a family friend’s party or just hang out at home.
Best part, though, is my folks let me drink champagne. 😀
