My thought would be to use clear poured epoxy or acrylic or whatever that’s called. Even if it doesn’t bond to the plaster, doesn’t matter since it’s a display piece, not a table or jewelry.

I have a two part resin mix.That was coat 1 to set the sand and eggs hard and it worked.Today 2nd pour I am learning as I go.😊
