Yep. That’s my Nessie. And romance novels! Ummm… how to say this nicely… Ick?
No, my favorite authors tend to sci-fi/fantasy. Right now I’m on a John Ringo/David Weber/Eric Flint kick, but have Mercedes Lackey, Terry Goodkind, Brian Jacques, L.E. Modesitt, Elizabeth Moon, etc, etc in my library.
You have good taste! I own most everything David Weber has ever done. And Ringo and Flint are good too. Baen authors in general are awesome.
(I never used to care who published a book, just who wrote it, but Baen has changed that for me. They are the MOST AWESOME publishing company ever! If I ever do decide to try and actually publish my books, I’d submit them to Baen first.)

Ohhh, Jude Deveroux is one of my favorite romance authors! I’ve read all of the others too. Nice choices Ski!
Thanks! She is the best! You have good taste!

December 5, 2006 at 1:10 am #512242Is there some kind of thread here?
December 5, 2006 at 1:20 am #512243I think there used to be, but I don’t remember what it was anymore… 😆 😆
December 5, 2006 at 1:24 am #512244it started as saying hi to the new people and got over to books. you know how these threads go 😀
speaking of romance novels, I used to do home health care, and one lady LOVED for me to read her racy romance novels, she really liked the juicy parts 😆December 5, 2006 at 1:27 am #512245speaking of racy romance novels, have you read any Diana Gabaldon?
December 5, 2006 at 1:53 am #512246I’ll admit that I do love Diana Gabaldon. She’s the only “romance” author that I have. But with time-traveling, alternate-reality… does that REALLY have to go under romance???
December 5, 2006 at 1:56 am #512247Her books fit in multiple categories…but you have to admit they are heavy on the romance..
December 5, 2006 at 2:01 am #512248You’re right… Most of my books are still packed away, and I had forgotten. So I guess I have to amend my “Ick” statement…
