Nothing too complicated… I dont wanna ‘nother FYI post… I can handle a little difficulty, though. 😉May 23, 2007 at 9:44 pm #579843lasagna is always good….and I’m sure I can do it simple for you….but you’ll need stuff….
I can tell you how to do a simple meat lasagna….it makes a whole lot though…

Impatient….
I don’t really use recipes….but anyway
you’re gonna need sauce….and I was trying to figure out how we make it…but I wouldn’t know unless I actually made some…but that’s not gonna happen soon
so I’d say buy some red sauce….pasta or marinara….whatever you want….add seasoning to flavor if it needs it….
get a box of lasagna noodles….
one of the tubs of ricotta cheese…I think they’re like a quart….
a package of mozarella cheese, should be lb..and if you want meat…then lb of meat…whichever you like….
first brown the meat adding seasoning to taste…
I use garlic salt, basil leaves, and red pepper
of course you have to boil your noodles too…
the pan we use is about 9×13….
put a dab of sauce down…and a layer of noodles
a layer of meat and ricotta kind of mixed, a layer of sauce and then cheese, then repeat the layers….heat the oven to 375F cover in aluminum foil…..and cook for about an hour….
that’s the really simple way to cook it….
hopefully it makes sense…like I said…I just kind of cook it….taste it all along the way….and then it’s done…so it’s really hard for me to make a recipe…
May 24, 2007 at 5:06 pm #579851Thanks!!! 😀
May 25, 2007 at 10:13 am #579852Sounds yummy! Thats pretty much how I do mine. I dont boil the noodles, though… maybe I will try that… I like using the Classico sauce, or Newmans Own. What kind do you use, or do you season your own?? I love lasagne!
Also… do you know how to make something stuffed? Like manacotti? (I think thats it) or some stuffed jumbo shells? I have never done that…

we usually make our own sauce….and yeah I’ve done the stuffed ones before….
usually we just boil the shells, mix the ricotta cheese with seasonings, mozarella and if you like some meat….stuff the mixtured into the cooled shells….pour some sauce over it….and heat it up in the ove….
really simple….
we always boil the noodles….things cook faster and there’s less possibility of crunchy bits… 😯
I forgot to say to cook the meat first…
hehe….I thought I’d come back and throw that in there…
I always use either garlic salt….or garlic powder….a little bit of basil leaves and red pepper….
and every once in a while I splash a tiny bit of lemon juice in with it…
