And all you have to do is have a Facebook account and click a few times.

Go here: State Farm Neighborhood assist app

And scroll down to ‘vote now’. You’ll want to search for Meridian 101 in southern Illinois, use all 10 votes! We have to be in the top 40 to win and there’s only 4 days left.

You see, the elementary school and high school had to crowd into one building because the elementary school was condemned due to black mold. They’ve been doing split shifts all year and are going to get trailers to do full days next year and add on to the high school for elementary space. The little guys need a play ground and the library is going to need more shelves. And we live in a state that can find $100mil to put toward a presidential library in Chicago, but can’t find anything beyond a budget they’ve already cut to shreds for a rural school downstate. We need the money, the kids need a play ground.

Please go vote! And share on your facebook wall if you’re so inclined, and have other people vote. And vote every day until it’s over!

Thanks guys, we’d really appreciate it!

Wow I didn’t realize just how close to home that was, just a quick forty minute drive. Time to go click.

Know all about small, rural schools – me boyohs attended one in Soda Springs, ID. Sucks to be small town with a shredded budget and up against huge projects in the more populated areas of the state… *off to vote!*
