I’m twin snakes? Oh no! 😯 One was bad enough!
January 23, 2007 at 3:45 pm #527231😆 😆 Aw, snakes are great critters, emerald.
January 23, 2007 at 3:49 pm #527232I have a phobia, but I’m working on it. 🙂
January 23, 2007 at 3:53 pm #527233Hm, you’re one – or two – of your fears. How’s that for a psychological puzzle? 😆
January 23, 2007 at 4:17 pm #527234I know! Messed up, isn’t it? 😕
January 23, 2007 at 5:58 pm #527235I can handle looking at snakes but just would not want to own one.

I once saw an albino king snake. I wanted it but, then I would never be able to have my mom over. She’s so scared of snakes. Of course she grew up in rattler country so she has a valid fear of them. I grew up around garter snakes so I’m not afraid of them. Plus now in Kitchener you can’t own any exotic animals at all. So snakes are a no no now.
January 23, 2007 at 6:44 pm #527237I did not think most snakes would be exotic
January 23, 2007 at 7:21 pm #527238Depends on the snake but, you can’t buy them around here anymore. The bylaw put alot of buisnesses out of buisness. I’m not sure exactly what is accepted anymore. Kitchener is kind of strict with bylaws. Are they enforced? Some are and some aren’t.

Did Ontario go ahead with the province wide pit bull ban yet?
January 24, 2007 at 2:26 am #527241I wish they could figure out if pit bulls are nice or not. I have heard several HORROR stories but I have also heard that they CAN be very loving and caring dogs too
January 24, 2007 at 2:49 am #527242Like any larger dog, it’s just a matter of how they’re treated and trained. Any big dog can be dangerous to humans, but I can’t think of any large dog breed that’s vicious by nature. (Though I have to wonder about some of the little dogs! Some of them seem kinda psycho to me.)
Pit bulls can be totally loving and friendly, but if you mistreat it, or train it to be mean-natured, they do get pretty nasty.
Of course I’ve never owned one myself, that’s just what I’ve seen from the dogs I’ve encountered.

Small dogs are deffinatly worse than large dogs. Large dogs normally use passive aggresion. You really have to push most of them to get them to bite. As for the pit bull ban? Kitchener-Waterloo banned them years ago. We still have them around. My friend had a pitbull that never hurt anyone. She was the nicest little (big?) thing. Such a sweet heart. The problem with pitbulls is the fact that when they bite they cause alot of damage. Unlike a snappy shih tzu who will more than likely be unable to break skin.I have to stop now. This topic is a landmine to me. I’m very upset with the ban. It’s not the breed, alot of times it’s the owners.
