After seeing more of the unicorns today on the livestream I would like to once again voice my opinion and say please sell the fantasy and safari in different batches or let us choose which type we want. If you could show us the pictures of the batches ahead and about when they would be released I think that way people could decide if they really want a fantasy or safari one and only get one from one batch when they know it will be coming out.
I really want a fantasy and really don’t want a safari and even here in Canada we would have to pay at least $20-$30 to ship a unicorn here and if we want to trade it another $20-$30 to send it out again plus with having to wait 2-4 weeks for anything to arrive here and to send anything out, it makes trading really difficult.
From the last grab bag batches I ordered from, I along with other international collectors were almost always last to get ours and by the time I would get mine maybe a month later, a lot of others in the U.S. may have already traded theirs 2 or 3 times so that by the time any of us international customers get ours, there are either hardly any left to trade for or the ones we did like were already traded away. Especially with what these will cost plus the shipping costs, I would not be willing to pay that much to risk getting a style I didn’t want.
Looking for rainbow or pink & teal grab bags!
July 2, 2013 at 3:46 pm #899315This may have been said already but release like the mother albino Kirins. (two eye colors but in store at same time for people to pick from) Two separate batches of unicorns but put in store at same time. I hope it will be limited to one uni per person not per batch that way everyone has a chance to get one.
July 2, 2013 at 4:03 pm #899317We may sell them in two or three batches. Jut because we want to sell the ones that are ready and not wait for the rest to get finished. We shall see.
If you decide to sell them in 2-3 batches like this, is it possible to get group photos of each individual group right before they get released in the store? I only ask this because if our hearts are set on a particular unicorn, the photos could let us see which batch to order from! (*Of course, I’ll understand if it’s too much of a hassle. I figured it was at least worth asking!) 🙂
I only take a “class photo” of the ones that are all finished and ready to get boxed and put in the store… but I could also photo whatever in-process unis that don’t get included in this batch if any.
Of course, I am still painting more right now, so they aren’t all done yet! There will be at least three batches from the looks of things.July 2, 2013 at 5:27 pm #899324I’m really really hoping that they will be split into two groups, I really prefer the crazy fantasy ones. Trading has been such a nightmare for me recently that I avoided the last two rounds of grab bags. :'(

This too!
Trading used to be easy and breezy, but it has not been fun or easy for me in the last few batches. I’d love to be able to get something that I actually like and won’t have to bother trading!
Commission spots are currently closed! Please message me for details.
Please visit My Webpage to see my art and PYO's that I've done in the past!July 2, 2013 at 9:39 pm #899349I’m still hoping for one big batch. I like the idea of random and exciting!
July 3, 2013 at 12:24 am #899359I totally understand the desire and reasons for many people wanting them split into fantasy and safari batches. My main problem with this is that I love so many from both batches and I’d hate having to choose one or the other and eliminating my chance of getting one of my top pics from the batch I didn’t go for. That’s just me personally. I realize most people lean more toward fantasy or more toward safari.
July 3, 2013 at 12:30 am #899360I agree with both posts before this one. 🙂

Exactly! Even though I adore both blue appies, there is that albino zebra that is amazng too, who I wouldn’t mind giving her that forever home! There are some other zebra types i think are amazing too!I but since I’m locked into the fantasy only, i won’t have a chance at any of them!
One big batch, I have a better chance of getting one I love!
July 3, 2013 at 1:18 am #899365They should all go out together. One last YOUNG BLOW OUT, till the horn’s situation has been fixed. 😉
If they are broken up into separate group’s how many of us will say ” I really like that one, now I wish I hadn’t traded mine for this one.”
It will only make the trading 2 to 3 x’s crazier than it already is.

July 3, 2013 at 1:42 am #899366If it causes Windstone no trouble selling separate batches thats my vote.
Considering the higher price these may be I couldn’t risk that much money on a style I dont want at all.
If this was purely a Fantasy batch I wouldn’t be buying, but as for the Safari’s- Id be happy risking the money on that batch only as I like all the natural designs 🙂Trading is very expensive fo me, these pieces are larger than baby unicorns so it would be more expensive than usual lol.
July 3, 2013 at 2:26 pm #899384Since the fantasy ones were done first, hence they should be ready and in batch #1. Is this correct?
If correcf, then It seems that if one likes the fantasy, one should order from batch #1. If one favors safari, then one should not order from batch #1 because there are no safari in batch #1, and you will take a fantasy away from someone that prefers one. Plus you will lose your opportunity to get a safari directly.
Is this accurate in assumptions? If it is true, can those wanting safaris choose to wait until the second or third batch as the percentage of safaris are much higher later.
I definitely want to try to get my uni without trading. The baby unis are just on the edge of being inexpensive enough that you can tolerate randomness. But at the speculated higher price of the youngs, I really want to get one out of my target group – the fantasy style.
