So of all the colors the Grab Bag Unis have come in, I still haven’t seen a Chocolate Roan:
Not that I’m biased, but I TOTALLY AM and if a chocolate roan uni is ever made, I would die for one. I NEED one. SqueakSqueakSqueak.
I thought it might be fun to post some pics of colors we haven’t seen yet (or want to see more of) and maybe inspire Melody so much she just can’t resist making another batch….. 😉
June 1, 2011 at 5:26 am #846889I like this idea 😀 chocolate roan would be gorgeous! I imagine some of these, especially things with roan or dapples, would be super difficult to paint, but still. It’s fun to picspam.
I always save photos of horses, so these are just a bunch of random ones I had on my computer.
dapple greys! 😀
I know there’s been tons of appaloosas but this one is cool…
and this last one, I thought was pretty fun. I can’t tell if this is the coolest looking horse ever, or the ugliest!
yay for pretty horse picspam! *runs off*
June 1, 2011 at 5:31 am #846891wow wow wow Thank you so much for posting all of these!
June 1, 2011 at 5:51 am #846894I would love to see some more liver chestnuts. I see the one on the store page but no one has posted any pics of him or any others so it doesnt look like there were many.
June 1, 2011 at 5:55 am #846896Here’s some neat colorations that I found. 😀

June 1, 2011 at 6:05 am #846898Scenceable, that first one you posted is amazing!!
Why I’m biased for chocolate roans:
My little guy is just the best. (That’s not me….just a happy neighbor kid.)
😀
June 1, 2011 at 6:10 am #846899Stephanie- that buckskin vanner is gorgeous.
Chris- that photo is adorable! What a pretty horse
June 1, 2011 at 6:17 am #846901OMG. That’s SUCH a beautiful horse!!!

Please visit My Webpage to see my art and PYO's that I've done in the past!June 1, 2011 at 6:37 am #846904Can’t stop staring at these beautiful dapples!
My mom’s buckskin gets dapples during the summertime. It’s just about the prettiest thing ever!
Here’s a couple nice pics off the net….
A pink-cream palomino would be pretty interesting too.
June 1, 2011 at 12:35 pm #846911I bring moar pictures! Some of these may have been done though. I think more “silver” anything would be awesome. I just *love* silver buckskins, and silver dapples are gorgeous too. Anything with the silver gene. If any get cut off, you can right click and hit “open in new tab” or something to see the full thing.
Silver dapple vanner…everything looks better on a vanner
another random dapple grey
Silver buckskin! *dies*
I’m not sure what I would call this but I love it!
Darker dapple grey
buckskin with a few white patches
amber champagne?
minis come in all sorts of fancy colours…
And even though melody has painted so many appaloosas already, here’s some more. Just for fun. I honestly never really liked appaloosas at all, but after this grab bag stuff they’ve really grown on me. Annnddd appaloosa foals are actually BORN with the right colouring. Unlike dapple greys… a light coloured dapple grey baby just wouldn’t look right, you know? Haha
giant spots!
June 1, 2011 at 5:25 pm #846936That is an incredible looking horse! (The chocolate roan)I have never seen on that color before! Does he really have a glowing white fringe of hair on his fetlocks?
June 1, 2011 at 5:27 pm #846937chocolate with sprinkles!
June 1, 2011 at 5:28 pm #846939OMG those photos are simply AMAZING!!And I thought I was running out of colors!
June 1, 2011 at 5:36 pm #846940Its funny how real horses can have totally insane, unbelievable color patterns , but when one is trying to paint model horses, the goal is to make them look “real”. So,I tend to shy away from doing colors like these! But, eh, what the heck. These are unicorns anyway.
June 1, 2011 at 5:55 pm #846950All of those horses are breathtaking . I love seeing horses in fields .
