I decided to reveal Rodney’s Fat Cat to you guys first. I called him up and asked if it was alright before doing so. He knows I like to photograph the pieces we get, so he was fine with it. In other words, Rodney has not laid eyes on his Fat Cat. Here is what Rodney got:
Rodney’s Fat Cat has about 3 different shades of blue and a very lovely Betta swimming on his back. I will admit that today was not a good day for photographing Windstone pieces. Though, the sun did a good job of showing off the glitter/sparkles within the paint. These guys really do sparkle!!
After seeing Rodney’s Fat Cat, I decided I really liked his. Knowing him, if I got something I didn’t care for he would be more then happy to trade me. As some know, I secretly wanted a Fat Cat with a Dragon. If I didn’t get one with a Dragon, I’d be alright with a Betta. Here is what I got:
You can’t really tell from the pic, but my Fat Cat is a deep teal color and I love teal! It is one of my all time favorite colors!!
I got a Betta and I couldn’t be happier with my Fat Cat! Like I said, teal is a fav color of mine. The Betta itself is a similar color to that of an Arowana (aka Dragon Fish):
So, I feel as if I did get one if a Dragon (Fish) after all. Maybe that is what I will name my Fat Cat, Arowana? Dragon Fish is another possibility. I still need to name my Lady Cat…:P
Both are so lovely!!! I love teal, too; it’s my favorite color. Beautiful pair of bettas! Mine will be here Saturday.
Love baby kirins, safari poads, mini keepers, and anything BLUE, BLUE, and, oh yes, BLUE.
My Fat Cat has arrived and he’s gorgeous! It’s hard to photograph, but he has gorgeous rainbow sparkles that show up in person. I can’t believe how pretty the paint is! He’s also got deep green, and a bronzey-gold, with a white and gold Koi fish and aquatic plants on his back. There’s some pretty gold spots on him, too. I especially love his lighter blue nose!
He’s carved with Melochy’s Pena mark, but his bottom is just blank. Are most of these stamped?
I may put him up for trade, but only for other grab bags or one of the forest cats. As far as fishy cats go, he’s perfect to me!

Mine’s like that, too. I don’t think these specified that they were stamped.

It’s got the “Pena” on the sculpt itself, but there’s no signature (Or possibly I can’t see it if there is. The bottom of my cat is black).

Both Fat Cats we got ARE stamped and signed. Mine is signed in gold, for the bottom of my Fat Cat is black. Rodney’s is signed in black since the bottom of his is blueish.
I just realized something! The Betta on Rodney’s is obviously a male, but the Betta on mine has shorter fins, which could mean the Betta is a female. We got “his” and “hers” matching Fat Cats, LOL!! 😀
Just got a e-mail from Windstone the stamp should be on they and Melody should have sign them. So I have to sent mine back. Sent susie a note if you don’t have a stamp.
