Welcome to the forum, and congrats on your 2 gorgeous new SKs! 😀
We never meant to offend you. We were just being a little apprehensive I guess you could say… because of what was going on with the earlier SK auctions. Please stick around though. We would love to talk with you more, and hope you can maybe post some pics of those dragons for us to see. That silver SK looks stunning. You are very lucky to have such a lovely work of art… and such a wonderful wife too!
January 3, 2008 at 2:58 am #644248Congrats on great Christmas presents – not to mention a great wife! It’s wonderful that she got you something you really wanted for Christmas.
By the way, if you decide you would rather have a white SK than a silver one let me know – I’d be happy to trade with you! 😉

How many do you have now?? SK’s and just Windstones
3 SK’s if I’m correct??January 3, 2008 at 5:06 am #644250Welcome and congratulations! Those are pretty special pieces! I hope you stick around and show us pretty pictures of them when you get them. We really aren’t that bad. 😀
January 3, 2008 at 6:13 am #644251Welcome, newfie, and congrats on the SKs.
January 3, 2008 at 6:39 pm #644252I don’t understand why some people are getting so offended by statments made in this forum. Windstone has been having issues with fraudulent bids on ebay for awhile so because we vent about it people get mad? Everyone was venting about what they would do to the fraudulent bidder not a real bidder who is serious about paying for the auction at close.

Yeah, the last line in their post was just a tad extreme. 😆
January 3, 2008 at 7:10 pm #644254I don’t know maybe its just me but if I was a bidder who won an auction and came on here to read all that was written I wouldn’t see it as directed at me. I’m the kind of person that would laugh and say “I’m sorry windstone is having such a hard time with non paying bidders but thankfully I’m real”. I don’t know I guess I just don’t take things as personal as some people.

I know what you mean. Sometimes other people just automatically think that everything is directed towards, or about them… when it’s actually not. It can be easy for some folks to become offended or upset by what is said. Everyone was very polite and apologetic about the whole thing… so we’ll see what it’s worth. I just assumed it was someone that had a lot money to throw around on special pieces. Which turned out to be the case this time.
Wish I could have taken a crack at the silver SK. Very gorgeous piece… but also very out of my league! 😆

It hurts to see people bashing your auctions just because they don’t recognize the name of the winner. You read these posts about your account and your auctions and what people want to do to the person bidding up the auctions and there is no consideration for whether the person is real or not. I saw a list of all my auctions followed by a comment that I shouldn’t be allowed to bid because I didn’t have any feedback. How do you think that would make someone new to the forum feel? I understand Windstone has had trouble with the hacker, but that is NO excuse to take it out on legitimate bidders not known to the forum. Everyone just assumed Newfie was a hacker. The word Assume makes an As* of U and Me. People should have waited until they knew whether those bids were fraudulent. Instead a few angry people took out their frustration on a honest collector and he called you on it. One of the reasons I joined the forum was so this assumption that I was not real would stop hurting my chances on the auctions.

Sun Dragon Koi #3January 3, 2008 at 7:52 pm #644257Setsuna where did someone post your ebay account and the auctions you bid on or mention wondering if you were a real bidder? I don’t remember ever seeing those listed, aside from you mentioning that you bid on the flame point chicks, blue sunburst griffin, barred female griffin and blue sun dragon. The only ebay name I saw mentioned was Passier and they are from the UK if I remember right.

Is there some way to stop people with zero and negative feedback from bidding on official Windstone auctions? I’ve noticed the same person “i***l (0)” keeps throwing out high bids on Windstone auctions. If this is the same person who won and didn’t pay, obviously he or she would not pay again if he or she won, and therefore is just driving up the price for the rest of us. Not that I’m wanting Windstone’s auctions to end low, they deserve a profit too, but I don’t think its fair to have to fight/bid against someone who doesn’t really want the item, when maybe it’s the one special auction you’ve been waiting and saving for.So far I’ve seen this person bidding on the most recent Barred wing Wolf Female Griffin, Olympia’s Blue Sun Dragon, the Gold Sunset #2 Griffin.
I don’t know how to do the nice block thing you guys have mastered.

Sun Dragon Koi #3January 3, 2008 at 8:10 pm #644259Ahh, I didn’t see that one. But then are you sure the “i***l (0)” is you? When bidding reaches $200 on eBay they disguise the name to help prevent fake second chance offers. It could be someone else with 0 feedback.
And to do the box thing if you look in the right corner of replies on the forum there is a button that says “Quote”. Find the reply you want to quote, hit the button and then type your reply outside the tag. The other way to quote is to copy the text and then hit the quote button in between the one to underline text and to code text.
