Lol! I was confused by the foo dog thread. I am used to them being called Shisa or Komainu from the Japanese.
Are both of the their mouths going to be open? While these are more contemporary versions there is a lot of legend about one having an open mouth and the other closed.

These will have their mouths open. The foo puppy is just showing his teeth. Images I have found of these things, whatever they are called, seem to have their mouths open more often than not. They are also totally insane looking.

As mentioned earlier, my vote: it would be nice if there was, at the least, small differences between the male and female adults besides the turned head.
Where is everyone seeing pics? All I’ve seen is a fuzzy vid silhouette of what I think was the male….
we aren’t….the male we saw is the same….in yesterday’s stream though, we got to see the baby, it was pretty clear and cute….it’s almost at the end…..
