-J R R TolkienNovember 4, 2007 at 2:20 pm #625983Calico griffins! hehe…okay, maybe that’s a bit out there but I think it would be neat… I think a dark, rich brown (kinda mahogany) with black stripes on the feathers and maybe white on the chest and leg feathers would be neat…Similar to your Mercury griffin but with some white to contrast and lighten the overall look. π THAT would be my dream griffin! Not that I could ever afford it though… π

Really? Maybe it’s my monitor but they look more brownish-grey to me… π
Oh well, I’d still like to see more greys π
November 5, 2007 at 3:55 am #625988They are a warm grey with blue interference over their feathers. π

Oh goodness no. I painted 13 Labradorite griffins over a period of 6+ months. I’d sooner run screaming into the night than paint more! π They were on eBay for months. So sorry you missed them!

My art: featherdust.comNovember 5, 2007 at 4:22 pm #625991I loved the labrodite chicks, they were my favorites of that set with their spotty butts! π

OK Nam, I know you said you don’t want to paint anymore Labradorite griffins…but how about a darker version? The lightest part on the griffin would be the lightest part on the hip of the Labradorite griffin. With green interference colors and green eyes? Not that I could ever afford one π π

Maybe! I’m out of blank griffins. I have one male I’m slowly working on, two chicks whose fate is already sealed and two poor blank mommas. I don’t like painting the mother griffins as much. If Windstone wants me to do more griffins they’ll have to send more… otherwise they’ll send me something new to work on! π

November 8, 2007 at 2:49 pm #625996An interesting thought. π π
