If I read correctly, there is still a glimer of hope, if a restructuring plan is presented by the end of August. Slim, but still hope.

      Here’s hoping! 😯

Here is a good site if you want to find a pattern, compare vintage and contemporary carnival glass, check prices, etc. He used to post day by day eBay sales, but had to stop due to his health.

I love the favrene pieces, too and the ruby carnival. There are so many colors and patterns to choose from…you should be fine, GB.

Thank you, pegasi. 😀 But I’m still sorry the factory is closing.

Well, here’s a bit of good news…the Fenton Factory will remain in operation, at least for a while.

There is a Press Release here.

It should be interesting to see what kind of products will be in their “imported” line. 😮

Hurray! This makes me very happy! There are two major dealers near me, and at least one of them I’m certain will continue to sell fenton (I think they are a premiere dealer).

That’s good to hear! I was just at the Fenton Factory gift shop after Thanksgiving. I was looking for something owl-like… because I love their little owls. But there were none there that time.

                  Imported line? 😕 That’s weird.

“Imported line” doesn’t sound good at all. But at the least the factory is staying open. Thanks for the update, lamorte.

                    You’re welcome, GB: -)

travistie, how was the gift shop? Big selection (other than owls)?

The gift shop has tons of cool stuff… especially if you like their vases and bowls. Lots of production stuff, LE stuff, and QVC left overs. A lot of discounted seconds too. Have you ever been to the facotry gift shop?

The day I went, they were handing out coupons at the door to get money off certain pieces.

I haven’t gotten to the gift shop yet, but I hope to someday. They have beautiful vases, etc. but I have to stick to the smaller stuff…like the cat statues, butterflies and birds of happiness. I’ve run out of room… 😆

So, are there any others here that collect old carnival glass? I do and love it lots! Used to be able to find some great bargains on ebay years ago. Now everyone seems to know about it 😥
