I’ve got tons. All the original universal monster movies especially The Invisible Man & The Wolf Man. Francis Ford Coppola’s Dracula, is fun. Pontypool is super creative & unlike any other horror film I’ve seen. Wake Wood turns the “pagan community” movie in its ear in a creative way. Stoker is stunning – it has a lot of homages to Hitchcock. Silence of the Lambs & Hannibal – I’ve seen them more times than I can count! And lastly, I’m partial to Nightmare Before Christmas!

I love scary and weird movies, but I don’t really have a favorite. I will say that I recently saw a hilarious horror/comedy/mockumentary that I think a few people here might enjoy, I sure did. It is about some vampire flatmates living in New Zealand, called “What We Do in the Shadows”.

I also enjoy The Great Pumpkin, Beetlejuice, and others on the lighter side of Halloween….BUT!! I then dive right back into a scary movie marathon, with things like….Cloverfield, the NEW Evil Dead, The Descent, The Exorcist 1973, The Mist (blew my mind), The Hills Have Eyes, Lords of Salem, The Crazies, The Woman in Black, Fright Night 1985,
And many many more….
My Halloween ritual, is to to surround myself with junk food, from sweets to salt, and have a scary movie marathon. It lasts till the wee hours of the morning but the gut rott lasts much longer, lol! We dont get any trick or treaters, so Halloween is all about me!!

That sounds like so much fun! Do you get any events up there? If not, you might want to travel to the US done weekend in October! This year I’ve done Universal Studios Horror Nights, The Haunted Hayride, Rise of the Jack’O’Lanterns (5000 carved pumpkins in a botanic garden), today I have a pumpkin carving party, Thursday I’m going to Zombie Paintball & a corn maze, and on actual Halloween, the SO & I are splurging on a nine course gourmet dinner with wine pairings at an AMAZING restaurant called The Herbfarm! We’ve based this year’s vacation around it. It’s gonna be a trick to get out costumes packed ok! We’re going as Gomez & Morticia Addams. I’m always broke in November bevause I do something every weekend in October! But it’s TOTALLY worth it!
