I’m working on repairing an old gryphon (the big black one with purple/blue accents) and I’m noticing the glass eyes are very flat (color-wise) compared to the newer ones. Is it possible to get them off to replace them with newer, more detailed eyes without damaging it? If it’s a lot of work or risky I don’t want to try it, but if it’s relatively easy I’d love to give it a go. Thanks!
Ooh I attached a pic of the gryphon on my work table. I’ve done some paint touchups of chips and repaired a talon that broke off halfway with putty. Just a little more painting to go!
The eye looks fine, I’d leave it as is. Removing eyes can damage the eye socket.
