So yeah, Iβm always hunting for deals on ebay. I saw this ending soon, had like a bid of a dollar, so I put in a bid for like 30 bucks, no way expecting to win. I only have one old green dragon, so Iβd like to add to that family, but itβs nothing Iβm actively collecting towards. And surprise, surprise, I won, for like $2.25β¦for 4 dragons.
Seller misspelled Windstone on the listing(Windsone), so maybe thatβs why there was no competition?
Does anyone know if itβs against any ebay policy for me to message the seller and tell her/him she/he doesnβt have to sell it to me? I would feel really, really mean and bad for paying two bucks for 4 dragonsβ¦
December 21, 2011 at 9:11 pm #866682okay, I have an idea. I can message the seller and tell her which ONE dragon I want, like I thought the auction was for them separately? The listing is kind of vague there, so that kind of helps this situation⦠Does that sound reasonable?
December 21, 2011 at 9:15 pm #866684That would be a nice thing to do, letting the seller know what happened.. You could also offer what you feel to be a reasonable price for the lot, and see if the seller will accept that instead of relisting them. Last month I won a large lot of uncommon figurines for only about $1 because no one else bid. I felt bad and offered to pay the seller more for the pieces, but they only wanted to get rid of them and were happy just to be paid the shipping cost.
December 21, 2011 at 9:22 pm #866685I canβt believe that dragon sold so cheap . I saw them as a set .
December 21, 2011 at 9:31 pm #866686I messaged her and asked her to contact me so we can work it out. Iβm hoping for the βIβll just buy ONE of these dragons dirt cheapβ option, because sellers who are not collectors tend to have a grossly inflated idea of what their old green pieces are worth and I really just donβt want to haggle with someone like that about the whole set.
Iβm waiting now to see what she says.December 21, 2011 at 9:51 pm #866692Oh wow! That is a nice thing to do though. Heβs a fine old green male too! The young as well (I already own a mother old green, but the entire group is in nice shape). Maybe you will luck out and the seller will just want to be done with them (hopefully they will be wrapped well). Good luck!

That would be really awesome if she really just wanted to move em, but you can see at the bottom of the page someone asked about just buying the mother, and the seller stated she wanted around βmarketβ value that she sees other Windstones atβ¦so yeah, Iβm not too hopeful there.
I just hope she didnβt let that terrible Kirin auction where the seller wanted over 1k for the female and male with a bent horn give her ideas about βmarketβ value!December 21, 2011 at 9:59 pm #866697From the wording of the auction and from the question and reply posted at the bottom, it seems to me that this seller has no idea how ebay works. You canβt put something up for bids and then ask for offers, and you certainly canβt make a single listing to sell βas a lot or separatelyβ.
Do be sure youβve got everything straigtened out before you send any money!

Yeah, thatβs a good point LIH. Maybe Iβm not so great as finding deals as finding trouble =P I must be wearing a drama magnet or something.
December 21, 2011 at 10:25 pm #866704Maybe in this caseβ¦
But you did get all βAβs and a pebble creature as a bonus, so itβs not all bad news
Congratulations on both BTW!
December 21, 2011 at 10:33 pm #866709thank you, LIH. That helps put things in a more positive perspective
Iβm just getting fed up of dumb ebay sellers.December 21, 2011 at 10:34 pm #866710Amen to that!

December 23, 2011 at 4:20 am #866944And?
December 23, 2011 at 4:42 am #866953I see all the pieces listed individually on eBay now, so I guess the deal fell through.
