Difference Between Ruby and Red Fire

I’m sure that there is another thread about this somewhere, but I can’t find it.

What is the difference between these two colours?  I’d appreciate it if someone could post a picture of the two together.

The quickest “tell” (except for the Spectrals) is Ruby has red eyes and Red Fire has orange/gold eyes.

Another difference – Rubies have red chests:

Red Fires have gold chests and gold noses.

 

Not an ideal photo, but the best I can offer – mostly Rubies with a Red Fire Spectral at left of middle shelf and a Red Fire Riser at left of bottom shelf.  The fledgie in front of the Riser is one of the lighter color Rubies.

Here is another example.Mine is not the lovely cranberry/dark ruby(those are gorgeous)it is a lighter shade and the red/fire.

Much appreciated.   The tip on the eyes really helps, Etruscan.  That’s a gorgeous set of Rubies!  One more question – who is that lovely Lap on the middle shelf?

Thanks.  Believe it or not, the mini keeper is a grab that I got from the store.  I was thrilled when I unwrapped her.

Aside from the eyes, the rubies are a deep red, whereas the red fires have a more orange-ish general look.
