I don’t know this person, but there’s this sculptor Nicholas Fonseca running a kickstarter for a Deinonychus kit.
Looks like a pretty nice job of sculpting. If this gets funded, I’ll have to resist the smartypants urge to paint my model like a duckling or quail chick…
I like it! But I find it kind of annoying that the cheapest level you can get the actual sculpture for includes a T-shirt/tote bag. Why make people pay extra for something they may or may not want? That’s just silly. I wish campaigns wouldn’t do that. You should always have a level where people can just get the thing you’re making without any frills. (Not that I could afford it anyway right now, I’m pretty broke, but still…)
Yeah, it’d be nice if they had more perks and also some photos of a painted model. It IS gorgeous though! I’d be very tempted if I hadn’t already committed my funds to other things.
