There’s still a few weird things in Canadian stuff (y’do see stuff like Red Lake 40 here sometimes) but generally yeah, it does seem a bit less sketchy, at least from what I can tell from my brief foray over the border into Texas! I can get you a whole case of Aero bars though if you really want some. There’s a store here that sells them that way.

      Excellent!

Ever had ketchup chips? Someone once mentioned they weren’t available in the States. ‘Cause, you know, you need yet more junk food in your life!

But yeah, Aero is awesome. It comes in mint, orange, milk and dark chocolate now. A Christmas/holiday chocolate exchange is a great idea!

Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

I don’t know how much a case is worth, I’ll have to check the store. Over $20 for sure. A Christmas chocolate exchange would be fun! 😀

That would certainly give us enough time to get it together. I was thinking Halloween, but we are running out of time for that theme….

Here is a neat list showing Canadian bars not found in the US :

                http://ibackpackcanada.com/ultimate-canadian-candy-list/

Wow, there are so many treats on this list that I had no idea weren’t available in the US. You Americans are missing out; at least half of the chocolate bars listed I consider must-haves. I kept going “They don’t have Big Turk? They don’t have Coffee Crisp?? They don’t have Caramilk???” lol And let’s not forget Kinder Surprise eggs.

I think a Christmas candy swap would be fun. I could put together a Canadian candy sampler package. 🙂 I’m sure there are plenty of tasty treats available in the US that aren’t sold in Canada too.

I lived in Germany as a kid (Dad was military) and Kinder eggs were always one of my favorites. I finally found the chocolate bars made by the same company, but Kinder eggs aren’t allowed to be sold. Something about the fact there are inedible items inside the food.

Love baby kirins, safari poads, mini keepers, and anything BLUE, BLUE, and, oh yes, BLUE.

Yeah, they’re ‘worried’ that kids will pop open the little plastic egg inside and eat the plastic toy (choking hazard). Which is odd, because when I bought them in the Netherlands as a kid it never occurred to me to EAT the toy. Of course, I understand younger children often put things in their mouths so I’m not knocking the precaution.

But it’s also unbelievably hypocritical that they won’t sell Kinder eggs here but they will sell Yowie Chocolates, which do the EXACT same thing. I see them all the time in my local Walmart. And after tasting them, I can tell you that Kinder egg chocolate tastes WAY better.

I’d love to participate in a U.S.-Canadian/Canadian-U.S. Christmas chocolate/candy swap! I live near a chocolate factory owned by one of the Native American Nations. Their chocolate covered “pringles” are yummy! Sounds gross, but they’re actually quite tasty. They’re worse than chocolate covered pretzels and tasty enough to be sold at Neiman Marcus! I’m not sure if they’re still sold there now, but they were a year or two ago at least. The chocholate company is called, Bedre.
