Hi guys I have quick question.
Are retail stores allowed to resale LP items? I was in a store in Denver today and they were selling a silver Poad(TM) for almost $600. I have never seen a Poad(TM) at any other retail stores and I was wondering if they were allowed to resale LP items at such a huge mark up?

Retail stores sell Wind Wizards, as they were released before Windstone had an online store. I believe the Wind Wizards are classified as limited edition, since they are numbered, and not limited production. That may make a big difference for what retailers are allowed to sell, though!

        😯 $600! Yikes!

We have a couple of retailers that are members. I’m sure one of them will be able to answer that question.

I saw a brown rising spectral last fall in a store in Maine. He may still be there. If I recall, he wasn’t marked up terribly high either.

            600$? 😯

I’m not even sure if the ebay ones ever went up that high!

I thought I remember a discussion like this before saying some stores do buy LP stuff to sell, but they don’t get it at retail so it’s usually more expensive than buying from Windstone direct. I don’t think it was against the rules, but I could be wrong. Again. 😆

BT buys LP at Windstone store price and then marks it up for sale in their Ebay Store. I don’t see why an internet store would be much different than a traditional brick and mortar store, so if they are permitted, then I don’t see why anyone else can’t. Unless official Windstone dealers signed a contract that states otherwise (as BT isn’t an official Windstone dealer). I’m sure this is a question best answered by someone working for Windstone.

I suppose I could buy LP stuff at regular price and mark it up astronomically, but what’s the point? I’d have to sit on it for a long time, and I’d rather move items. Once it’s bought at retail price, it’s considered secondary market, and anyone can sell it for a huge markup. It just doesn’t make any sense to do so IMO.

I can’t get the LP stuff at a wholesale price. That’s the catch. So, I’d have to mark it up astronomically to make it worth my time and investment. The Guinea Pig is the only LP item I’ve seen that I’ve been given wholesale pricing for, so I sell those. Not anything else.

I was the one that asked it, and the answer was basically that they were buying from the online store, and then marking them up from that (usually quite high). And that it wasn’t against the rules.

The Bronze Nettuce Poad 2huberts won on e-bay went for $925, but there has only been one of those made! Is that the Poad you’re thinking of?

I think so. Sorry, guess I was thinking of Poads in general, not just LP’s.
