That’s what this curlie reminds me of a lot and I love it 😀 . I do especially like the detail on the wings though
I do love that curlie–I had tried [in vain] for that Blue Flame OW–and for sure this curlie is going out of my price range as well [sighs]. Congradulations to whoever gets them–you’ve got some beautiful pieces and post pictures please. But I can’t complain–a couple of pretties are coming my way next week–so can’t complain, can’t complain at all! 😀

That sounds great, but the stripes are as awesome a feature as the combination of colors. Would it be feasible to airbrush a simplified pattern of stripes, kind of like how the bengal markings are offered on the kittens and poads in the store? (don’t know how time-intensive this would be, or how it would look as a result, so I’m just tossing this out as a thought.)
Well I wasn’t going to say anything until after the auction was over, but because of the amount of attention on this curlie (especially his price), I would like to point out that I am the high bidder on him and here’s why: I’ve been wanting to do something nice for the forum as a Christmas gift. If I win him, once he is in hand I am going to hold a drawing for this little guy. I’ll start a thread asking all who are interested in him to PM me with your name, and once I have everyone’s entry I’ll draw from a hat. I’ll even pay the shipping for you. 🙂 I’ve been wanting to do something like this for a while. I chose the Blue Ribbon curlie because many have fallen in love with him. Therefore I think everyone that likes him should have a chance at adding him to their collection! 🙂
But first I have to win him. 😀 I’ll keep you updated!

I know what you did… I know exactly what you did (and no, I’m not kissing her keister in hopes it’s me; I never win so I know it’s going to someone else… course I’ve never entered anything here so how could I win- … der). But I know what you did. When HE was giving out hearts that over flow, you got in that line twice, didntcha?! As you’re in good company with others in this forum, people like you make up for the trolls of the world that suck it dry. Sure, yeah, I’ll enter if this goes through because I do love this curl and I can never afford to get any ebay piece no matter what it is. And I’d be planning to share it (we’re in the same house at this time) with someone who is going through a tremendously bad time right now (nothing like a botched surgery).
Anyway, MG, that is really sweet of you and I hope your plan goes off well. Sooooooooo many people here are so deserving and I wish every single person who would enter, lots of luck. This time of year always brings out the best in people, but there are several people I’ve met/known in my life that have this kind of spirit all year long. You were one of the first to welcome me here, and it was always evident in which direction your heart flows. Now everyone knows (and I know it’s not like you’re doing it for notoriety – I know it’s goodness). Good on ya!

That is sooo sweet—speechless—absolutely speechless! MG, you are one in a million–not too many people would think to do that. Generous…..sweet……flub, bub, flub, bub–just can’t find the words right now. How cool!!! 8) Jaw drops to floor–falls over—pinches self to see if dreaming. I wish the world were filled with more people like you. There are a lot of things that get us down with dealing with people who are unfair, rude and downright mean and selfish! There is hope for the humam race after all. You’ve demonstrated that. It doesn’t matter if you’re able to snag the piece or who here wins it—that is an absolutely amazing gesture!
