Ummm…less mass to dry. Thats why they are trying to make it have a hollow core…so it will weigh less and dry faster.
January 1, 2007 at 6:53 pm #521902but paint drying has nothing to do with weight. I can understnad if it takes the actual gypsum longer to dry but I can not see how it would help the paint to dry faster

I think they were talking about the gypsum, not the paint.

Where did she say that? The only thing I saw about drying was this:
melody wrote:The other problem with a big piece like this, is that she takes a month to dry! They would take up alot of space in the drying area.
Is the paint drying discussion somewhere else?

My art: featherdust.comJanuary 2, 2007 at 5:46 pm #521910I meant the gypsun takes that long to dry after they are cast. The paint we use dries almost instantly when we airbrush it on.

ok now I’m gonna hide in a corner before Melody throws something at me…. 😈 I’ve got a batch of dry S.K.’s… what to do with them though? I was considering just doing them as BIN s in some regular color. But, if you guys are trying to pay off your credit cards, what’s the point?
