We’ve talked about how sending money through Paypal’s “Friends and Family” offers no protection for when a purchase goes wrong, however some may not be aware that when money is sent via a moblie payment app such as Cash App, Zelle, or Venmo, it isn’t FDIC insured. This means that you don’t have access to any buyer protection programs. Be mindful of how you send payments! Especially when buying something from someone who is unknown to you. Be safe out there!
I’ve found out Venmo offers buyers protection however you have to be proactive when you pay to select the option and there is a fee involved for that protection.
Buy YES!!!! To all Susie just said! We’ve had a few members on the Facebook Group recently duped with Cash App payments unfortunately.
