It reminds me of something. A certain dinosaur’s skull, maybe…
June 19, 2007 at 11:56 pm #562833thanks all 🙂
I colored some of the very old ones (unsure if the linearts were ever scanned) and they are now on ebay.
search for Akeyla.
here’s a teaseronly after I colored him I realized why he looked so familiar. Subconciously I copied Buckbeak’s pattern, only bluer. I hate it when that happens. Ok, indirectly its a praise meanin Bucky really impressed me but…. must keep in mind not to paint after 11 pm…
June 20, 2007 at 4:13 am #562834I like the horned wolf ACEO.

ebay-i-fied aceos.
oi Basil, tell me again when you’re leaving for US and when you’d have time for a tea/coffe/snack/chat/soda in that shoppingcenter Utobrücke to give you lil bugwing and the painting?
greets

June 27, 2007 at 9:27 pm #562836I like the rooster looking one.
June 28, 2007 at 4:15 am #562837Cool basilisk. 😀
Ach mensch, I never did PM you! I’m leaving on Tuesday. 😕 PMing you now.June 28, 2007 at 12:30 pm #562838Thanks all!
the Basilisk is inspired by the many sculptures of it found here in Switzerland, specifically in Basel (named after Basilisk, so told). Here’s an image:

I always liked the chicken part, roosters can have such a hard glare that perfectly fits the idea of a basilisk.greets

June 28, 2007 at 6:57 pm #562839We’ve got that in Zürich too! Bellevue, I think. Or a Platz that I can’t remember the name of.
July 1, 2007 at 6:14 pm #562840ack,,, I hardly ever was at bellevue :/
anyhow, here’s a new dragon. Please beware of anatomically correct male parts. A bday gift for a friend who always said Saphira didnt have enough… errr… balls. Hence SaphirO.
Am sorry, if anyone here is a fan of the book, I am not. I think the only thing I respect on it all is the design of the dragon and the age of the writer. Although, would my parents be publishers and me not dealing with /ç&%TIU-school I’d be on like my fourth trilogy.no reference used and a bit a scetchy stile so if Saphira has 3 scales and 5 feathers and one finger more just … ignore 😉
July 1, 2007 at 6:48 pm #562841Awwww, I like the dragon with the kitty 🙂 How precious…
July 2, 2007 at 3:44 am #562842I’m going to pick up the big red mountain dragon today. Can’t wait! 😛
July 11, 2007 at 3:11 pm #562843just wanted to share the ironic incident of the day…
got invited to Munich to exhibit my furry sculptures in a gallery that would like to theme furry for a day BUT I have like… no more sculpture left to my name?
so either I have to whip up some till july 28th or I have to beg those few european owners to borrow back my own works?
*facepalm*
/end ironic incident@Basil

July 12, 2007 at 2:04 am #562844The movie options were Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and some stupid things off TV like CSI. I didn’t watch anything. I read instead.
Let us know if you go to Munich!July 12, 2007 at 8:10 pm #562845Ninja… hm…. *eyeballs round for any possible fans* hmmm… never really liked them. And when I saw the trailer I was like OMG that does sooo not fit. They just didnt fit… lost all their character.
Charlie and The Chocolate Factory? I mean, the movie wasnt bad but isnt it like out since half a year? on DVD? I thought they had like more recent movies running. Pah, two thumbs down for flying cinema. But atleas you were well covered with interesting lecture 🙂
Munich, I may go. I’ll try to whip up sculptures. But first I have to verify the whole stuff by an insider. My greates fear is that its some freakshow that just wants to theme furries for the sake of the “new weirdo move” and such.July 21, 2007 at 8:25 pm #562846no go no Munich for me. To much stress to much stuff to do. Our dear holidayhouse will be re-rented this weekend and the moldridden furniture and poo-poo covered carpets have not yet been replaced.
But I has had one week of possibility to do conceptart for my novel. Me is happy now 🙂 (aside from having holidayyayyness) Made me realize that in fifteen minutes, with 12 A3 artworks I cannot even summarize the country and architecture. Anyhow, much interest was sparked and much praise from my teacher, weirdly, despite fantasy factor. Makes me happy. After all I have only been sitting on my mouth and lying like… 2 years?
here go 5 concepts:

also, which greater fatecreator had the really not funny thought of creating people who draw AND write? am I the only person going insane? *g* -
