That’s neat! How’d you get it done?
May 16, 2007 at 5:29 pm #562803Our good family friends had it made in Asia, after the design on my homepage.
*loves it to bits*
anyhow, people asked for scans, these are not scans but better pics π
first, chinese:
then a new one, bringer of light her name:
(counterpart to “this is the end”)
then the zebra, behind a link BECAUSE BEWARE OF NUDDDYY NEEEKKID PARTS
http://cathuman.com/2007/mmc/zebrafriend.jpgand last but not least, another A3, “the mountain of the great one”
and now, I think both my brain and hands just died …[/list]

20 of 26 artworks “left” me π
of those another 2 were given to a friend which now leaves me with the four that would be still available. YOu can see them here:

I’ve also put my sketchybookie cover under serious exercise meaning it wend all naked (no cover) to a con and to school in my humpy-dumpy bag. surprisingly not a scratch to be seen. even on the fimo corners.
right now I am overwhelmed with the stresslessness… no running to finish artshow stuff. Its almost weird. Makes me realize how sick I was to do 26 artworks since march. Its so nice to stare at a blank wall.
*goes stareing at wall for hours*June 3, 2007 at 12:28 pm #562812because I decided to try bookbinding for real. Well, kind of. Fully unprofessional with flaws but my first ever real bookbinding made without assistance. Glanced at two tuts for the sewing but ended doing it my own way. The paper is dyed laserprinter 120gramms with coffe and gouache. Gold parts are polymer. Made in 48 hours, including drying time of dyed paper and glueings (longer drying is healthyer for the book though). Extra strong using strong thread with 6 stitches for a pack of 4 pages.
I am not happy with the red velvet cloth but it was the only one I had. Next week I may have leather.
here in comparison with the big book, Dreambook. The new books name is Wandersoul, I know its silly to name a book but… books have feelings to. Will be used for the doodles on my novel. The big one is for concept scetches now, it is to heavy to bring along at school. Heavy, that is because I have a back problem :/
June 3, 2007 at 4:36 pm #562813That’s so cool. I’m gonna need one of those too. Definitely. When mine is full.
June 3, 2007 at 9:49 pm #562814hahah π
hop hop hop skizziere π *g*thanks π I hope I can make more. I think I just ruined my back today as I hand dye each sheet. Here are the pages of the future book to be called “Shadowwood”
and this is a still nameless lil bugger with very tasty… er nice smelling fire pages:
still needs deco, I may go with a dragon head. This is also one with an actual bookmark. Tiiiny teeeny cristal at the end. I need to get new fabric and a better glue (right now I use woodglue). But first to cure my back *whimper*
(if you wonder, Shadowwood has 29 A3 pages. each dipped into water, dipped into dye. handrubbed with dye twice, sprinkled with dye. Turned, rubbing and sprinkling repeated and then folded and hung. All has to be done carefully cause nothing hates touching more than wet paper.
Because I need place and I make dirt this was done in the garden, no table… I coated our patio….)June 4, 2007 at 3:31 am #562815Those pages look great – sort of like they’re so ancient there’s moss growing on them!
June 4, 2007 at 7:23 am #562816hehe π thats the coffee powder π
its very easy to make… but very rude on the back*counts* the vertebra just between my shoulderblades burns.
bway, did the forum…move? -
