I wouldn’t, it looks really nice. Any ideas on what you’d prefer for eye color?
December 27, 2007 at 5:53 am #642173Oh he’s so pretty!!
December 27, 2007 at 6:17 am #642174He looks great! He’s going to be beautiful.
December 27, 2007 at 1:43 pm #642175He looks gorgeous! Looking forward to more photos! 😀
December 27, 2007 at 7:17 pm #642176Beautiful!
December 28, 2007 at 6:49 am #642177If he’s as purple as he looks here, there won’t be any worry about him looking too much like a Peacock emperor: he’ll be quite different. He’s looking really nice, Nam! 🙂 I love the way his side scales go from purple to their blue edging. The royal purple accents are also really nice.
December 28, 2007 at 7:22 am #642178OH OH (melts into giant puddle) I LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRVVVVVVVVVVVVVV Purple!!! I’m dying to see this one finished!!!!!

He’s just like a Spectral dragon 😉 hehe
OMG Nam….yea, his colors are all wrong. You should send him to me immediately where he can no longer burden your work table 😉
I second Dragon Mistress’ sentiment…..
PPUUUUURRRRPPPLLLLEEE!!!!!!! *melts*December 28, 2007 at 5:56 pm #642180Okay- these are just snapshots I took on our porch this morning, since the weather is not cooperating and I seem to have packed all my normal photo taking stuff into our storage unit.. (ack). So these photos are not good, and please ignore the background of tote-lids!!
He’s done save for his silver detailing on his claws etc and his final clear coat.
I tried all the eye colors in him that I have (red, blue, straw and schoolbus yellow) and the red and schoolbus yellow looked horrible. Which do you guys like better, the straw or blue? (Before anyone asks, those are the only colors I have!)
The photos are not accurate to his color. He’s a nice amethyst purple shaded to a deep, deep royal purple. His larger scales have flashy blue tipping on them and his belly blends to blue which ‘flashes’ a light gold color.

My art: featherdust.comDecember 28, 2007 at 5:58 pm #642181Wow! Wow, wow, wow! I love his coloring! 😀 Beautiful work!
(And I like the straw eyes better, the blue seems to blend in a little too much)
December 28, 2007 at 6:01 pm #642182I like the colors for that one; very nicely done. I think the straw color works best for the eyes.

I miss my work table! I’ve been using my lap mostly and the top of a borrowed Lazy Susan- no room for a work table (temporarily). Let me tell you, after about 20 hours I can tell you I feel every one of his 16 pounds as I hold him! 😆

My art: featherdust.comDecember 28, 2007 at 6:05 pm #642184OMG – HE IS GORGEOUS! *tries to reach through monitor* Absolutely beautiful, Nam.
Personally, I like the blue eyes on him but, and I know you don’t have them and hate them anyway, I have to wonder how he would look with lavender eyes. *ducks and runs for cover*
December 28, 2007 at 6:08 pm #642185I like the straw eyes, I think they give warmth to his icy coloring and will help draw attention to the gold flashing on his belly.
wow. he really looks stunning. the blue on the edge of some of the Purple scales just is really eye catching and I LOVE the gold shine he has on the light blue. He is a real pretty one.
December 28, 2007 at 6:11 pm #642186I like both of them. I like how the straw yellow stands out, but then I like how the blue fits the color scheme. 😆 I asked my husband and he said blue.
