So not autumn-leafish on closer inspection! Poor guy has been unfinished for months. I guess that’s the state of my muse right now… unfinished. 😉
I don’t know what I’m gonna do with that griffin yet…

Well you have Laboradorite Griffs, how bout Garnet Griffs? Brown with lots of red and deep oranges? 🙂

I’m not sure where his colors will go, it’s always an adventure. I probably need to pack him up now that he’s got some base colors on him. I’ll finish him sometime after Christmas when I get to my destination I imagine! Are you sure he is not gonna end up looking too “Peacock-ish”?
Based on that picture, I was wondering the same thing, but knowing Nam, she still has a lot of layers and colors to go. 😉
Really? Does he look peacock-ish? I’ve never seen a peacock emp in person. Hmm. I’m going darker with the purples and he may end up having silver trim.
I’d do a ‘garnet’ griffin but he’d probably just end up looking like a dark Flame Point. I’ll see where it goes. 🙂

Out of curiosity, was his base coat done with brush work or is it airbrushed?
