I’ve received damaged stuff direct from Windstone where the boxes were perfect and we all know they package really well. Stuff happens.
I think that’s the best point that’s been made so far. When it comes down to it, all Windstones are very delicate, fragile things. Sometimes even the factory can’t gurantee their safe arrival. So after one has packaged a Windstone to the best of their ability with the pre-approved packing methods, gotten insurance on said package, and it still breaks, people on both ends may need to admit that there was nothing anyone could do. In that case everybody needs to be understanding, work together, and be ready and willing to go to the PO to file a claim. Luckily there are usually no end of patient, helpful people on this lovely forum! π
True, but if you throw out the box and packing, is Windstone expected to make good on the sculpture, just on a person’s word?
No. I wasn’t suggesting that. I guess I was more or less commenting on situations where there really is nothing anyone can do, where the seller is not at fault and/or a simple mistake was made on the part of the buyer (throwing away packaging making insurance claims impossible, etc.) Sometimes the recipient must accept the situation and make the best of it. Should have worded it better π
If I remember correctly some people received PYO keepers packed perfectly but with broken horns, and made them beautiful despite the glued-on piece. They made the best of an all-around unfortunate situation and the end result was a gorgeous PYO π
Agreed:)

Were I you, I’d pick my battles with far more prudence then you’ve exercised in this particular instance.
She thinks she’s right I think I’m right it’s obviously not going anywhere BUT I AM ENTITLED TO MY OPINION. I am picking my own battle thank you I didn’t ask for your advice.
And if you don’t want to be subject to every one else’s take on the situation, perhaps you should have thought twice before coming onto a public forum and trying to claim Ski did you wrong.
SPark has it right in that attitude is everything. In this case, however, $hit happens and I don’t believe Ski is in the wrong. Obviously neither does anyone else.
We all make mistakes, and sometimes they’re expensive ones. I suggest it’s time you learned from this one.

Again I am entitled to post my opinion and feedback on what I bought- it’s everyone else that blew it way out of proportion and jumped in on what was intended to be a singular post

You’re being nasty, and denying something which all of us who’ve been on the forums for a long time KNOW is fact. There’s never been another ebay seller with your name, much as you may try to claim some other mysterious person is the person on the black list. Admit to your mistakes, apologize, and try to make them good, and perhaps we’ll be more likely to believe you when you want to claim you’re in the right and somebody else is in the wrong, but when you’re running around lying to people about your past mistakes, why should we believe you about this situation?
Please, enlighten me as to where this feedback is. Again, I was SIXTEEN at the time I sold these two and was obviously not tattooed at 16 so I definitely did not have that screen name. Show me all this stuff
April 1, 2008 at 12:30 am #685169Must I remind you that this is a public forum?
Sure, you can post your opinion, but when you do, you’re going to hear everyone else’s. That’s just a fact of life.

You are certainly entitled to your own opinion, but if you didn’t want our advice or opinions why did you bring all of this up on a public forum in the first place????
I was simply intending to leave feedback like you would on e-bay of what the end result was. I wasn’t even intending to start a conversation let alone 6 pages of a popularity contest.
April 1, 2008 at 12:35 am #685171I think a chocolate and hug your favorite kitty/puppy/bird/reptile break would help right about now. π
April 1, 2008 at 12:35 am #685172You know what this thread needs…..
April 1, 2008 at 12:35 am #685173Jennifer- please let me know how I can delete my account. I am done here and want no part of a popularity contest. It should be reasonable to post the results of a transaction. It was meant to be nothing more, nothing less- not 6 pages of taking sides and bickering. I don’t want a part of a forum that can’t accept a factual feedback and would just rather group together and pick at someone like a bunch of 6 year olds. I have to get some phone numbers out of my inbox before you do and then could you please delete my account. Thanks for your help.
April 1, 2008 at 12:38 am #685174Which just goes to show that you haven’t learned anything.
There are several other options you could have chosen instead of coming to Ski’s flea market thread and slamming her. In case you haven’t noticed, this forum isn’t ebay.

Thanks… my GSD just had a bath so she’s not very huggable at the moment while she’s wet and smelly π I will get some chocolate and hug the kitty though π
April 1, 2008 at 12:41 am #685179Generally we don’t specifically name individuals when we have a bad buying or shipping experience. We may reference an event, but we rarely name names…or at least that’s what most of us do. Sometimes events get out of control and names do crop up, but for the most part we don’t do that. That’s the reason for the black list. It isn’t a part of the Windstone forum and must be accessed from another website entirely. To be honest, I don’t even remember where it is, although someone would tell me if I ever wanted to know. This isn’t the place for posting feedback like they do on ebay. At least that’s my perception of things.
