Before making stuff like that public, consult a moderator. Jennifer is very, very helpful in matters like this.

I agree with Frozen, it seems harsh and rude to post it like that.

Now that said, I’ve bought from Ski on more than one occasion and never had any problems.

Yes! Please, in the future, I will happily be of help. 🙂 That is a big reason why I am here. On my own time, as a normal person. There are always alternatives to posting publicly, especially in a case like this.

It is one matter if someone is known for shorting people (such as a previous forum member that seems to be mending her ways), but a single problem like this can usually be resolved without having to drag anyone’s name through the mud.

Not getting in the middle here, but had a question…

I while back, I bought a pegasus stallion and the hatchling from someone on Ebay.
The box arrived and everything was perfect. Strong double walled box.
Inside the baby had been rattling against the stallion and both were damaged.
PO would not refund my money as they said the packager was at fault. The seller wouldn’t refund cause he said the PO was at fault. I was out my dollars and have two broken Windstones for my trouble.
Not saying this happened here, but more asking advice. What would have been the best way to get a refund>

If it were insured i would go that way its just the easiest way. If they were rattling then the shipper didnt package it properly , and it would be thier fault . The tricky part is how did you pay, if it were PayPal then you can put a dispute through them so long as you have pics to back it up .If you have niether of those then its gonna be a he said she said kind of thing and trying to get the PO to pay for it …well you’d have better luck putting coal in your butt cheaks and getting a diamond, you know the government 🙁

That way my point, although I didn’t spell it out so nicely.

The outer box was not at all damaged. I’m not asking for money back and nothing to her I’m saying I will return them to her and then she can refund me.

Unfortunately, that’s not the way things work. If the seller has provided adequate and safe packaging (and honestly- the original box with the form-fitting cardboard, within another box is the most ideal and safest way to pack!), and the seller purchases insurance- then if there is breakage it is the buyer’s responsibility to follow up and claim with the postal service. It’s not Skigod’s fault that you didn’t know this and threw away the packaging. It would be a bit silly to expect her to eat the costs of your mistake!

At the end of the day, that’s what it was… a mistake. We ALL make them. It’s a major part of how we learn. Man, if I could take back every expensive and silly mistake I’ve made, I’d have a lot more money saved up. 😆 If you can’t dig the packaging out of the trash (who’s been there before? Once I threw out something expensive that was still in the box.. doh!! Imagine me digging through the dumpster..), then we can help you repair your broken pieces and it will be a learning experience, right? 🙂

Yes- this is from the Flea Market topic. It would be silly of me to delete it since it’s already been out in the public for a while. So, you may continue discussion if you’d like as long as it stays civil. Be adults… debate is okay, name calling or mud flinging is not.

The person involved in this transaction probably didnt want to leave neg feedback since you leave retaliation negs for everyone who has left you a neg. Your Ebay score shows 9 negatives and look how many retaliation (feedback left for others) negs you have left: 9 and then some. Im guessing this why there is no neg for this particular transaction. I dont think she left you feedback at all.

Thanks Jen. The first post makes me look really bad indeed. Oh well. I have only had this one issue since shipping Windstones, and lots of positive feedback, esp from people on this forum. Hopefully this one incident wont spoil my record. 😉

You could have asked for a partial refund so you could get the items repaired. A lot of the time a seller will agree to return some of the funds, versus the whole thing.

Myu seller with the Emp has made contact, seems they were away since Friday when I emailed them, and I am getting the impression they will work with me, since I am only asking for some of my money back.

As for your unicorns, if you still have them, I would be happy to work on them, we could do a trade or something if funds are an issue. I should put a note on my repair agreement stating that I will work for Windstones! LOL!

I agree, but now that it is out…perhaps we will all learn something from this. (Trying to look for a bright side.)

(this was model horse related fyi)

I tried for a partial refund for the amount it would cost to send to kyrin for doctoring.

Do you mean trade for the value of the work or trade for the unicorns?

(this was model horse related fyi)I am merely pointing out why you were possibly not left negative feedback for the transaction. Judging by the feedback history, any buyer who leaves a negative could reasonably expect a retaliation negative from you.

As I stated before- Would you tell me when this was? I have sold a grand total of TWO windstones FOUR TO FIVE years ago. This bad feedback was ONE year ago.
