Thanks Pam! I never had an issue with this before, so maybe ebay is improving their search function by searching what they think youre looking for? In any case, i jumped back on ebay and sure enough, it is changing it back to fantasy/mythology when i hit enter, after having changed it to all categories….so i changed it again, and the cougar and tanuki show up now…problem solved!
Wanted: "Dragon Fruit" Male Dragon ~ "Fire Berry", "Paradise", "Dragon Fruit", "Tie Dye" ~ The brighter, the better!
Wow, very annoying.. so here is what I noticed.. If I search for windstone with it set to “all categories”, it auto-corrects to the fantasy subcategory after I click search. The only way to get it to search all categories is to change it BACK to all categories and search again. However, you must do this from the page showing the results for windstone in “fantasy mythical & magical”, or it will auto correct again.
To get around this mess, search for windstone in “collectibles” instead of using “all categories”. All our auctions should show up here. Ebay will not autocorrect if you search in the collectibles category.

Thank you! This is working for me too Pam. I can finally see everything .. I was only able to see 325 listings and after this its over 400 listings. I’m so happy!

I think that having “newly listed” is very important. Otherwise, ebay will go with “Best Match” and new listings often don’t show up at the top of the display.

When I first set up my search I was bringing up a bunch of Windstone brand GPSs on ebay. Since I’m not interested in buying Global Positioning Systems I modified the search to “Windstone minus GPS”. That way I do not get listings with GPS as part of the title or description.

I do the same thing Kim does and just search by seller to see the factory’s auctions. Although I also do a general Windstone search as well. I have noticed sometimes the list is longer than others – I will pay more attention to the search category now that I know the secret. 🙂
