I’ve updated the progress pics, and took close-ups, though they were pretty discouraging as now I can see all these flaws in the pics that I can’t see when just looking at the statue. Is this what you wanted? Can’t get any closer, camera says “unable to focus”, which beats the heck out of a blurry picture.

May 26, 2007 at 9:26 am #574566It’s looking good to me, bosky. Keep at it. 😀
May 26, 2007 at 2:27 pm #574567It looks really pretty. Maybe another coat of paint though. It looks a bit thin in the face pic. Maybe that’s just the photo though.
May 27, 2007 at 6:12 pm #574568The face is light, but not thin. There’s actually a layer of dark pinkish/orange under there that I decided I didn’t like and painted over. I did touch up her face a bit more though. 🙂
Couldn’t quite match my earlier green when redoing her scales tips though… think I need to stop and antique & see what she looks like.May 27, 2007 at 7:20 pm #574569Your hubby may not like her, but I bet you money that if you put her up on eBay she’d sell very well.
She’s beautiful, then of course I really like the brown color schemes.

Hubby says he’s amazed that she gets nicer the more I keep painting, 😆 🙄
I love these colors so much I may do a “Jemez” (as opposed to “Bandelier”), but won’t take you up on your bet w/my 1st PYO… *grinning* -
