We’ve been seeing Black Emerald dragons on ebay lately and I’m still thoroughly and utterly enamored of this color scheme, ever since we saw the first variation of it on Grackle. I was wondering if we might be seeing this on Griffies at all? (please say “yes”, oh please say “yes” *crosses fingers and toes*) I think it would be just as sublime on the griffies as Blue Morpho is!

September 20, 2014 at 9:18 pm #919182Oh man, so I so totally agree!
Finding happiness again.
September 21, 2014 at 6:31 pm #919213I really want to see this as a production color. I would love to get an old warrior in this color scheme. 🙂 Pretty please, Melody!
September 21, 2014 at 11:14 pm #919218I agree, this is a really nice color scheme. I particularly liked the hatching dragon recently sold on Ebay with the gold dorsal scales and nose. A predominantly black griffin with gold beak and claws with green feathers would be lovely.
September 23, 2014 at 11:52 pm #919334I absolutely agree!
(I either squeaked for this a couple weeks back, or meant to and forgot. :p)

September 24, 2014 at 1:04 am #919337I’d love to see LP black emerald dragons as well. So pretty! Squeak!

September 26, 2014 at 5:36 pm #919534Hmmm. I wasn’t considering black emerald ( “Grackle”) as a limited edition color scheme, because it seems as if we already have too many black bodied things!
Black gold, black violet peacock, opopanax, did we do black rainbow? I forget. Black sunset, black this, black that.I *would* love to do black emerald dragons, because I think they look great, and aren’t that hard to paint. (unlike the Morphos…cough)
Do you think there are too may black colored things?? Maybe it seems that way to us because we see them all.
We did a black amethyst Spectral that we are going to put on ebay…just for fun. It has the amethyst color pattern, but without the entirely purple body.
We’ve got a black champagne SK sitting around too.
We try everything in black.
We need colors that go with silver horns though. Still having issues with the gold plating.September 26, 2014 at 8:23 pm #919565The black emerald is nice although I am satisfied with the other black dragons. I still would love to see pink dragons though, pretty please! Oh and the autumn coloured curlies are so pretty I hope you do all the dragons in that colour!
Looking for rainbow or pink & teal grab bags!
September 26, 2014 at 8:41 pm #919567I agree with you Kim! I think that the Mother dragon and Coiled dragons would look great in Autumn Leaf.
Keeping an eye out for fantasy gryphons and test paint dragons.
September 26, 2014 at 9:59 pm #919571September 27, 2014 at 1:08 am #919583I agree with the sentiment that there are already quite a few black bodied dragons. I’m still working on the blue morpho collection, so I hope those aren’t going to be retired any time soon. They are by far my favorite color scheme for the dragons. Now, black emerald griffins on the other hand sound intriguing…
