As well as the PYO Keeper Dragons (which have already sold out) we put some of the PYO Dragons into the store (after a long absence) and replenished the PYO Griffins. From this point on we hope to re-stock the store at shorter intervals of each of these items. If you missed them today, please check the store once in a while to see them. The email waiting list I had for Keepers exceeded the quantity available – I will email the same list when we have the next batch available – but it’s best not to rely upon that.
You will also note that the eyes and jewels are no longer glued in ahead of time, you glue them in after painting. The eyes and jewels will be in the plastic bag with felt pad.

Despite crumbling in agony that I was on the computer the same time and still totally missed the keepers, I second the new decision! It saves SO much grief thank you Susie/Mel/John!
June 20, 2009 at 1:39 am #770915That will save time, since I’ve been doing that anyways as of late for a cleaner result. Saves time at the factory too I’m sure!
June 20, 2009 at 2:44 am #770916Do the eyes come seperatly with only the keepers? or are they like that with the PYO Dragons as well?

June 20, 2009 at 3:47 am #770917Sweet. Now I don’t have to take out the eyes and jewels myself 😀 But what about the horns for the ki-rins and unicorns? Will they still come attached? (I hope not, but I’m expecting they will be)

Oh, glorious. *plans fierce and wicked things* Er… there wouldn’t be any copyright issue if I replace them with other taxidermy glass eyes, I hope?

I would imagine that there would be.. unless it was something you did for yourself, didn’t sell it or post pictures of it…
I think that’s one of the issues they had about not leaving them out before.. but I’m sure Jennifer could give you more info on that.. or you could just email John and ask him

Have to say not having the eyes and jeweles will make painting ALOT easier 😀 . As far as switching the eyes out – that’s a good question  . I have to admit, I’ve wanted to experiement with using different kinds of eyes. I would imagine it being on the same level as repainting production items. It’s okay to do it for yourself, but if you wanted to resell that item, that’s when it would get tricky.June 20, 2009 at 3:24 pm #770921Leigha wrote:Susie wrote:You will also note that the eyes and jewels are no longer glued in ahead of time, you glue them in after painting. THAT IS SOOO FREAKING AWESOME! *tries her best not to get so excited* 😀
Is the light yellow green eyes feature going to be available again for the keepers? I love the color of those eyes! (Griffins need them too! 😳 )

I wouldn’t mind it if you did that for all the PYOs! Makes painting so much easier and I’ve popped an eye out (on the PYOs) more than once. 🙂
