Edit: These two fellows are in good hands. Leaving much of the original description here for posterity’s sake. 🙂

Well, poor condition is something of an understatement.

Long story short, five years ago, I bought these on Ebay and it was the worst packing job I have ever seen. They arrived shattered. I was planning to fix them up, but I have my hands full with other stuff, they’re a wee bit fierce for me, and they arrived on the same week that my boyfriend and I split, and my childhood dog died. (they arrived afterwards, so I doubt they’re bad luck, but it’s kind of the insult-to-injury thing that makes me want to send them elsewhere.)

So… if you’re looking to try your hand at restoration or have some other plans, I’m looking to trade. My wish list is on here, page 32. *Clicky* For the pair, I’d like to get a medium piece (around Poad/Mother Dragon Size, good but not necessarily mint condition), or two nice small pieces, or a scuffed up big piece, or a scuffed up combination. If what you have available is different from my wishlist, even then it can’t hurt to ask. I also have several non-Windstone things I’m willing to barter. I swear, I only very rarely bite. 😉

Terms: I’d prefer to send them off as a set, but if I get two single offers, I’ll consider splitting the set. Mercifully, there was just enough bubble wrap that I’m 95% sure of which ‘bits’ belong to which gargoyle so this is feasible. I know I’m something of a dark horse, so if you have a reliable forum reputation and/or can provide good references, I’m willing to send them first. I’d prefer to just ship in the United States, just because they’re so. darn. heavy. I’ll do my best to pack them well, so you won’t end up with (more) gravel at the receiving end. Lastly, I reserve the right to accept or decline offers and so forth. I’ll change the topic heading if the status of this thread changes.

Here the poor sweeties are. I didn’t photograph the extra little bits.

Edit: And now these two are seperated, but they are being restored and have good homes. What a happy ending. And beginning.

      Thanks for looking. 🙂

Wow…Yours fared worse than mine did. 🙁 Mine just lost his “crown” area and one of his horns. Horn has since been glued back on and filled with plaster, but the crown is a nightmare… 😕 (I put mine on top of my 7 ft entertainment center…Can’t see his head up there! 😛 😀

7 ft entertainment center sounds wise. 🙂

I’ve seen two photos of two Emperors that fared worse than these two, but it’s kind of close. These two will need a bit of sculpting before painting, to put it gently.

Edited my first post a teeny bit.

A part of me feels physically injured when I see boo boo’s like that on a Windstone. I had a nightmare I broke my Black Gryphon…it was bad!!! I was sobbing like a fool in it before I woke up!.

              #760695

Years ago Scott broke my male white Uni…You’d have thought he killed my cat. XD Now, I just whimper and break out the supplies to fix the boo boos…But there hasn’t been any in a LOOOOONG time. 😀

When the car hit the house and my BRAND SPANKY new Red Fre Scratcher fell and broke you would have thought I had lost a first born. It was practically a movie re-enactment … “Damn you! You blew it up! DAMN YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOU ALL TO HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLL!”

Congrats, WSC. I’m glad those poor guys are getting fixed up, and not thrown away.

                #760700

I’m just getting the guy on the right (When I get a total on him. 😀 )…But I know who the other person is who is getting the guy on the left. I figure we will be sending pics back and forth trying to help each other. 😉
Perhaps pulling our hair out one at a time until we are bald! XD

Are you restoring them as close as possible to their original conditions, or are you repainting them? The original gargoyle color is really hard to match.
