I hope some of you know who he is. He was a wonderful fantasy writer who wrote great humorous novels:

His main character in the Myth Inc. series even has a dragon named Gleep.

The following quote is from his ex-wife’s, Lynn Abbey’s blog:

“Robert Asprin died yesterday afternoon. A peaceful death, by all accounts, dozing on a sofa with a Terry Prachett book still open in his hand.”

I loved his Myth Inc. fantasy series and his Phule scifi series. These books were a riot. He will be missed.

Awww!! I’m saddened by this news. His books are a treasure of mine and I will always look back in fondness to the first time I read the Myth Inc. series with my father.

        Thanks for sharing.

OMG! Was he old? Sick? I honestly know nothing about him. I do have one of his books that my daughter gave me for my birthday one year (and she just picked it because it had a dragon on the cover). I’ve only read it once, and if I recall, Gleep was just at the beginning of his “career”. I really enjoyed the book…

          Yet another great imagination gone!

Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

The coroner’s report states that he died of natural causes. Though he wasn’t that old, only 62.

He was also involved with the ElfQuest series, and I loved those.

I have all of his Myth series, except maybe one or two.

Sad he passed, but it sounds like it was peaceful and quick. Going with a book in your hand is a good way to go. That would be my choice, especially if I was a writer.

              πŸ™ I didn’t see this… I loved his books.

              He was so clever πŸ™

Wow. I had no idea. I really loved his work in the Thieve’s World series.
