I am assuming that this is for the people who do the PYO statues? What are the rules? Is it only for people who do PYO’s?
Just curious…the pictures are pretty cool…and I don’t know the first thing about PYO. Thanks in advance for answering my ignorant questions…..
May 6, 2007 at 3:43 am #490823May 6, 2007 at 3:48 am #571211The PYO swap we’re doing now is our second. The whole thing was whippet’s idea. One person is organizer, and everyone who wants to paint a PYO sends the organizer their contact info, whether they ship overseas, and what kind of sculpt and color scheme they want their person to paint for them. Then the organizer passes addresses around, so that the person who paints for x doesn’t have x painting for them in return. No one knows who they’re getting their PYO from.
So yeah, it’s only for people who paint PYOs.
Hope that helps.May 6, 2007 at 4:04 am #571212man I want in on the next one… by then I should have some PYO dragons…
May 6, 2007 at 4:05 am #571213These swaps get bigger with every round.. 😆 I can’t wait to see your painting, TC.
May 6, 2007 at 4:15 am #571214It’s sorta like secret Santa… 😆
*Runs back to other room to do another session* 😀May 6, 2007 at 4:32 am #571215LOL, WSC. 😆
May 6, 2007 at 4:42 am #571216does it matter your level of painting skills?

I joined the swap before I even introduced myself on the forum or posted (lol!), so no I don’t think so! 😀
May 6, 2007 at 5:14 am #571218That’s good cause I don’t think I really compare to some of you guys..
May 6, 2007 at 5:28 am #571219The idea is to have fun. It’s no contest. 😀 😉
May 6, 2007 at 6:59 am #571220Yeah! It’s a lot of fun.
Though I do worry… what happens if somebody never comes through with their PYO for the swap? Maybe we should have a plan in place before that happens… We’re all nice people, but stuff happens, and it’s bound to happen eventually, especially as the swap gets bigger.

It is fun. That’s why I’ve done it again. And your painting skills aren’t important (or else I wouldn’t be in 😆 )Unfortunatly, there are some people who didn’t get a PYO from the first swap. I had Watergazer…I understand why I didn’t get one. And really in that case I don’t expect one. But, it has happened.
May 6, 2007 at 11:23 am #571222I think in that case we might be able to call on volunteers…
May 6, 2007 at 12:41 pm #571223Sholuld be ok to do that, good idea. 😆
