We are sitting at home this morning because our hill is solid ice. Nobody can get in or out at the moment! It is nice and quiet!

We’re having a monsoon in MA. Crazy winds and tons of rain (but it’s still better than snow!)

        Got a busted Windstone?

So cold and we didn’t get a lot of snow. The cold winds are nasty. Monday it will warm up. Merry Christmas to all. Stay safe and warm.

Temps in the teens, windy with wind chill making it seem Minus 8 degrees!
That’s tonight – it’s going to be worse tomorrow – at least there won’t be precipitation (as far as I know right now)….

Howling winds, snow, you name it! Started around 10 am on the 23rd and it’s still going on at almost 8 am this morning. Huge branches broke down in the back, but that’s a later problem! More wood fire for next winter 😀

The fire will be roaring in the fireplace for sure today and tomorrow.

Merry white Christmas in Southern Ontario!

We got about 4 inches of now & -30 temps. Shoveled half my driveway yesterday until I got too cold, then this morning see that the 50 mph wind gusts blew drifts covering up what I shoveled yesterday. Think at this point I’ll wait for the snow to melt in our mid-week warmup where we are supposed to get near 50.

Stay safe everyone & have a great holiday!

On the good news front, IRS has delayed the requirement to report income from $600 sales on payment websites.

It’s supposed to be 22 degrees below zero tonight, but as I’m ridiculous enough to live in northern Minnesota it’s not that unusual for our winters. Anything a few degrees over zero is considered ‘sultry’.
The snow is quite beautiful this morning, a good look for Christmas Eve.

It’s something like the third coldest Christmas on record for us. Highs in the 40s and maybe to 50 24th and 25th. Lows to freezing nights of 23rd/24th and 24th/25th. What a merry Christmas not. I covered my plants, with my sister moved in there’s no longer room for me to bring anything in. At least it’s back in the upper 70s/low 80s by New Year. This is something like 20 to 30 degrees below normal. No house heat so lots of blankets and space heaters.

Cold and white Christmas. So very cold. Gives me thoughts of spring. Winter is just to cold this year.

Hope everyone stays safe and warm.

Here in Western Colorado it’s still dry. Its 30 now but will be 50 by noon. I really REALLY hate all the warm dry weather. I truly miss the – 40’s and 6 foot of snow all winter in Montana.

Send any unwanted snow or rain to me! Lol

We just had a pipe on the outside of our house burst. That makes 4 pipes here on the state park – two yesterday, two today.

Yesterday it was a pipe in the bathhouse and one of the cabins. Today it was the shop sink and our faucet.

That sucks.I crawled under our house right before it hit and rewrapped our pipes and then I wrapped an old thick blanket around them and we did good,no burst and at 12° for us,we lucked out.
