This is our Male Kirin, test-painted by Melody Pena in a color scheme inspired by Asagi koi (a type of fish).
This Kirin stallion is airbrushed in shimmery metallic pearl, and his scales have been individually airbrushed in the centers with black. He has also been airbrushed over with “magic invisible paint”, a special type of automotive paint that looks like little sparks of rainbow colors in the light (the rainbow effect is especially noticeable in bright sunlight). He has metallic silver glass eyes and a glossy finish, and his horn is pewter, painted over with metallic silver acrylic paint.
Because this Kirin’s horn is painted with normal acrylic paints (as is the rest of the figure), the surface is delicate and could be damaged if not handled carefully. Please don’t use any cleaning chemicals on the horn or attempt to polish it.
Melody has signed this Kirin on his grey felt pad and marked him with the name “Asagi Test Paint #1”. This Kirin also comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity and a small sketch by Melody.
