Mother Bear (Old Animal)
These Mother Bears are from the very first line of animals that we produced when we started Windstone Editions in 1984. They did not have felt pads and were simply stamped “Windstone Editions” on the bottom. About 20 years after their retirement, a limited number were painted in new colors and given signed felt pads (these signed Mother Bears were sold via online auctions). The images in this listing are from one of those newer painted pieces so you can see the sculpture from all sides.
Introduced in 1985 and Retired in 1988.
We are out of these and will not be making more.
These are individually hand-painted and markings may vary very slightly. You may find that different lighting displays the colors differently as well. This is a cast gypsum reproduction of an original sculpture by Melody Peña produced by Windstone Editions. For indoor display only.
