The Standing Hippogriff Colt in Copper Patina!

“Copper patina” is a color scheme we invented to rescue pieces with slight casting flaws. We give them a textured, “distressed antique” finish that enhances the surface flaws with patina and makes them beautiful! A few random areas are highlighted with brighter gold, copper, or a hint of violet. We all think they are gorgeous; they look like weathered cast bronze.  Their teal eyes match the patina color.  These hippogriffs vary slightly in texture and color because every one of these is an individual. They are unsigned limited production.   They are about 4 1/8″ tall and 3 3/4″ long.

Hippogriffs are fantasy creatures that are a cross between a griffin and a horse which makes them a mash-up of an eagle and a lion and a horse, so these young hippogriffs have some characteristics of each animal. These have an eagle’s wings and beak, a lion’s front paws, and a horse’s hind end, mane, and ears.
