These “rescue” griffins are pieces that had slight casting defects. Normally we would have destroyed these, but we have devised a way to make use of otherwise perfectly good griffins by painting them silver and blue with a textured “distressed antique” finish that enhances the surface flaws with “rust” and makes them look like beautiful Ancient Steel.  They have aquamarine colored jewels and teal eyes. These griffins vary slightly in texture and color because every one of these is an individual. They are unsigned limited production.  About 10 1/2 inches long.

Introduced in this color on March 7, 2025 with a small One Per Customer batch.  No Griffin Chicks are being made in the color at this time.

These are individually hand-painted and markings may vary very slightly.  You may find that different lighting displays the colors differently as well.  This is a cast gypsum reproduction of an original sculpture by Melody Peña produced by Windstone Editions.  For indoor display only.
